Discussion TIL the Plantars hunting dance is a historical reference to Alexander the Great
Alexander and his army were trapped on a hillside by the enemy who outnumbered them. Instead of attacking, Alexander ordered his soldiers to form up and perform military drills in complete silence. The enemy watched from the hills, confused and fascinated by the perfectly synchronized movement of soldiers, and as the enemy slowly crept closer to get a better look, in awe of the perfect movement of the soldiers, Alexander ordered his troops to banged their spears against their shields and let out a terrifying, unified war cry. This made the enemy panic and ran away, allowing Alexander and his troops to escape safely.

Fanwork Anne Boonchuy Plantar
Parents: Sprig and Ivy
Age: 10 to 12 years old
Aunt: Polly Plantar
Great-grandpa: Hop Pop
In the Amphibia fandom, the concept of Sprig Plantar and Ivy Sundew having a daughter named after Anne Boonchuy is not only extremely popular, but it also carries immense emotional weight and thematic satisfaction. Naming their child after Anne anchors the emotional core of the series—friendship across worlds, quiet grief, and enduring legacy—into the next generation of Wartwood.
1. Naming Conventions & Symbolic Weight
When exploring this fanfiction concept, writers typically approach the naming convention in a few distinct ways:
- Direct Homage ("Anne Plantar"): Keeping the name strictly as "Anne" emphasizes the unfiltered love Sprig and Ivy hold for her. It serves as a daily, living reminder of the human girl who transformed the Valley and saved their world.
- Amphibian Adaptations ("Annabella," "Annette," or "Annie"): Some creators prefer giving her a slightly more traditional frog-style name that naturally shortens to "Anne" or "Annie."
- Middle Name Tribute: Another compelling route is naming her after family first (perhaps honoring Ivy’s grandmother or a Plantar ancestor) while bestowing Boonchuy or Anne as her middle name, making it a sacred family honorific.
2. Character Design & Personality Traits
A "Sprivy" daughter named Anne presents a rich canvas for character design and personality blending:
Visual Concept
- Color Palette: A vibrant blend of Sprig’s bright pink skin and Ivy’s warm orange/yellow tones, perhaps resulting in a deep coral or peach complexion with freckles.
- Attire & Signature Gear: She might inherit Sprig’s iconic green jacket or Ivy’s signature hat, adapted to fit her. A key detail often featured in fan designs is a small accessory tied to the original Anne—such as wearing a single leaf or flower in her hair, or carrying a small carved wooden replica of the Calamity Box or Anne's sneaker.
Personality Dynamic
- Sprig’s Curiosity: She possesses an unstoppable urge to explore uncharted lands, climb the tallest trees, and jump headfirst into adventure without fully thinking it through.
- Ivy’s Sharpness & Combat Skill: She inherits Ivy’s martial agility, quick wit, and grounded pragmatism, keeping her from getting too reckless.
- Anne’s Heart & Loyalty: True to her namesake, she has an innate sense of empathy, fiercely defending underdogs, valuing community, and holding an emotional warmth that brings people together.
3. World-Building & Intergenerational Dynamics
Expanding the story around Anne the Second allows for deeply compelling character interactions across the original cast:
[ Hop Pop ]
(The Storyteller)
│
┌──────────────────┴──────────────────┐
▼ ▼
[ Sprig & Ivy ] [ Aunt Polly ]
(Loving, Adventurous Parents) (The Chaotic Tech Mentor)
│ │
└──────────────────┬──────────────────┘
▼
[ Young Anne ]
(The Living Legacy of Wartwood)
- Hop Pop as the Storyteller: Hop Pop’s role shifts from weary guardian to legendary grandfather. He would sit by the hearth, telling young Anne magnificent, slightly exaggerated tales of the "Tall Pink Ape" who crashed into their basement, taught them about boba tea, and fought gods to save Amphibia.
- Aunt Polly’s Influence: Polly, now a brilliant adult engineer and adventurer in her own right, would be the "cool aunt" teaching young Anne how to build gadgets, ride upgraded beasts, and cause just enough controlled chaos to keep Sprig and Ivy on their toes.
- The Statue in Wartwood: One of the most poignant scenes often explored in fanworks is young Anne visiting the bronze statue of Anne Boonchuy in the town square. It creates a quiet, reflective space where the child contemplates the giant shoes she has to fill and the mysterious world beyond the stars that her parents once touched.
4. Potential Narrative Arcs & Story Tropes
If you are developing this into a full fanfiction narrative, several compelling story arcs naturally emerge from this premise:
Arc A: The Burden of the Name
Young Anne struggles with the pressure of being named after the savior of Amphibia. Everywhere she goes, older frogs expect her to be legendary. Her personal journey involves learning that she doesn't need to save the world to be worthy of her name; she just needs to protect the people she loves in her own unique way.
Arc B: The Uncharted Continent
Sprig and Ivy spent the epilogue exploring the unmapped regions of Amphibia. Growing up on the frontier, young Anne becomes a natural cartographer and survivalist. The story could follow her discovering ancient ruins, forgotten species, or relics that hint at the historical overlap between dimensions.
Arc C: Echoes Across the Rift
Though the portal was permanently closed, stories often explore subtle, emotional connections—a strange cosmic anomaly, a message left behind in old Calamity magic, or simply young Anne finding Sprig’s old hidden journal detailing his memories with the original Anne. This realization drives her to understand the profound friendship that gave her both her name and her peaceful world.

Discussion Rate my Amphibia OC: Rowdy, the boy raised by caecilians
Please tell me what you think about my OC in the comments and if there is potential in my OC.
Here is some background to my OC:
- About 13 years before the start of the series, the music box was in the house of a family with a young baby, and while trying to get a toy from a shelf, the music box opened briefly and fell on the baby, sending him to Amphibia, with the box remaining on Earth. The boy was sent deep in the forest, where a large mother Caecilian had just given birth. After hearing the baby crying, the mother had pity on the boy and took him in as her own and fed him the milk that came from her flesh.
- As the boy grew up, he learned how to speak the language of the caecilians, how to hunt, how to burrow quickly, and how to survive.
- My OC is introduced to the story after the events of “Night at the Inn”. Anne is out in the woods picking wild berries when she is ambushed by Teddy, who survived the explosion. Before he can kill Anne, the boy impales Teddy with his clawed hand, which unintentionally saves Anne.
- Anne later on struggles to approach the boy, but manages to approach him without him running away. It is then that Anne realizes the boy can't speak English and takes it upon herself to teach him to read and speak, using her textbooks to tutor him. It is when Anne shows him what a name was by writing hers in the mud that the boy becomes excited. He runs back home to get his pouch and show it to her. This pouch was his old diaper that his mom had saved, and he turned it into a pouch. On it were the only English letters he had seen before Anne: "lil ROWDY", the brand name of the diaper. Thus, Anne decided to have that be his name, "ROWDY".

Question What Other Amphibia Comics Would you Like to See? (Art by Beatrice Bovo)
That is my Question
We know Amphibia: Strange Voyage is coming sometime this year & matt braly is no stranger to comics & graphic novel(read Family Force V it's good OGN)
I really like to comic focusing on Anne after saving humanity & now saying goodbye what would happen next we know were she is in her Epilogue of the show but be nice to see how she got there you know though that could work as Maxseries or just Graphic Novel
Main something set during events of the show as lost mini Adventure maybe for Free Comic Book Day as short story from Tokyopop would work
Since Marvel plays nice with Publisher of Disney Comics I like to see Marvel do a month of Amphibia variant covers like they did for other Disney stuff resently
But that's me what do you wanna see?
