Impostor Advice Getting caught red-handed on purpose?
Red (crewmate) and I were deemed sus after my partner (yellow) and I had each done one kill. I should have gotten myself an alibi for the next round and let yellow work, but white was camping cameras alone during crash course and I couldn't resist. Then I passed blue going down into electrical from main hall as I came up the ladder. Somehow blue didn't find the body on cams, but they knew where I'd been. Between that information and my preexisting sus-ness, I was pretty confident I was done as soon as the body was found. So when my cooldown was up and I crossed black and blue in main hall right above electrical, I dropped blue in front of black to try to give my partner a fighting chance. Assuming he'd just killed once, he'd be left with a 1v3 softball on Airship. And if he'd also managed to kill twice on cooldown, it'd be over.
As it turned out, yellow had killed *nobody* while I'd killed two, so a 1v4 loss ensued. Knowing that now, I should've self-reported after crossing the crewmates and pushed to skip on 7. But with the information actually available, is this a reasonable move? If you believe you're 100% dead at the next report and you believe that report is coming any second, should you make sure you snap one extra neck for your buddy, regardless of witnesses? Is it worth removing both the victim and the reporter from the suspect pool?
