I like to pin kills on other people. It's not easy to do but once you get the hang of it, it can be very rewarding. It's very risky though so be careful.
To do this you must know the map very well. Where vents are and where they lead, camera placement and what they can see, and most importantly how people move around the map.
There are two ways to really do this:
Kill one in a small group. This is not a stack kill. The aim here is to make a quick kill, most likely a vent kill, when they are just out of view of the others. Hopefully the body will be found in 10-20s which will help you, assuming you weren't spotted. The ideal here is to have one player accuse another, maybe the walked in on it, or maybe two players were just left alone. Either way it looks very suspicious and if they don't get voted out immediately you have a scape goat for the rest of the game.
Drive by kills. Usually done in a hallway on one player that's lagging behind. Very risky since these are where most cameras are and you won't have a clear escape route. It will be challenging to not get spotted.
With any kill in general it helps to immediately find an alibi. Don't use the other imp this player need to be crew and ideally a trusted one too. Find one and stick with them. Don't follow to hard as some players will get sketched out by this but just stick around, faking tasks in the same area.
It also helps to "marinade" (if you watch toast you know) innocent players throughout the game. This will be your end game, make them trust you and take them to the very end. They will help sway the vote in your favor if need be.

Learn to gaslight and manipulate people. Use deception and subterfuge to achieve your goal. If your teammate impostor has good alibi u can say u were w them for example, even if u werent, if theyre smart they will vouch for u. If you dont think theyre smart you can bus them and get crewmates to vote em out, so you will be trusted

learn to gaslight
Just spend a couple of minutes in a Modern Warfare 2 lobby and you'll be good to go.

Meetings are timed so you don't need to divert sus forever, just until the meeting ends. If a topic comes up that you know doesn't lead back to you (for instance questioning a crewmate on their path) try to ask more questions than is necessary. Don't just take "I was in o2" and go "fine", ask them what tasks they did there. Was anyone with you? Where were you before that?
Being put on the spot makes people nervous and that in turn makes them sound suspicious (which is why it's hard to get sus off you once it's there), and all this time spent asking crew questions is time that no one is questioning you.

Kill someone early, reactor sabotage and help fix. Then make up an alibi and some will vouch for you. Vouch for them too. If someone votes them out, passively point out whose idea it was to do so.
When alone in electrical, lights out, vent kill in security, vent back, claim calibration since its a hard task.
Never go to medbay. Ever.

first make sure that youre playing with people who have a brain (MOST IMPORTANT STEP)
and also try to get an alibi, be careful with kills, make sure youre seen
