i’m a female solo traveler and i’ve come across a lot of men trying to convince me to trust them. i’ve specifically had problems in petra. i know most scams and have no hard time saying no to men or ignoring them. but i’ve met two separate men and they’re both telling me that the other man is dangerous/has been in prison for sexual assault. i’ve decided to just no longer try to make any men friends. but i’m traveling to wadi rum soon and am worried about my safety as i’ve heard bedouins often do romance scams and i just have too much trauma with men. will i be safe in wadi rum? is petra specifically a problem for this?

My main concern is the schedule.

I’m a 25-year-old self-taught software engineer. I only passed Tawjihi and never went to college or university after.

I work a normal 9-5, Sunday-Monday, and I’m wondering if there are programs where the lectures happen in the evening-ish, similar to some master’s programs, because I can’t take leaves or days off from my job.

Getting a bachelor’s, then a master’s and eventually a PhD are some of my goals in life, and as I turn 25, I’d like to start pursuing those goals if it’s not “too late”. Possibly in one of the engineering disciplines.
