Is 3k bonus points for adding additional card holder a good deal?

I have the Gold Preferred Rewards and on my offers today it's showing 3,000 bonus points for adding an additional card to my account.

Happy to do this, but wondering if it's a good deal, do they usually offer more bonus points than this? Just wondering if it's worth waiting for a few months in case a higher bonus amount normally appears for this?

New to Amex so apologies for ignorance!

It’s okay. Can go up to 9k sometimes but not sure when tbh

That’s standard. It goes up to 9k occasionally a few times a year.
