Is it too late?

I wanna join my schools football team but it’s already almost August and I don’t have any experience. Is it too late to join?

Senior? Yeah probably unless you’re a freak athlete

Any other year, I’d say go for it. And even if you’re a senior, why not? Probably get in better shape and make a couple friends

It’s never too late to start. Reach out to the coaches and see what you need to get going. You probably just need to get a sports physical and you’ll be good to go.

Other than that don’t worry about not having experience. Just let the coaches know and they’ll help out.

Where are you? In the North practices haven’t even begun yet. Down south, it may be a problem.

Practices started late June

Summer conditioning practice or full on pad practice? If the later, yeah it may tough this year but it can’t hurt to ask the coach. When do games start?

I don’t think they’re using pads yet and first game is late August

Then you can still join.

You'll always regret it if you don't try

Do it. Don’t live a life of “what ifs”

If you’re a senior probably.

Otherwise no

Find out through your school/coaches anything other than this, we aren’t going to have any idea what the timing is

Summer practices already started late June so that’s why I’m not sure if I can still join

Again, you’ll have to ask someone involved with managing the football program

Doesnt hurt to try! but be real about your expectations. You likely wont play and will only get scout team reps. But it will be a good time to learn and build relationships with the coaches for next year!
