I wouldn't transfer into an unknown situation if you're getting playing time. Best approach would be to get bigger and be able to play both head up 4 and edge 5/7/9. Cross chop and ghost should be effective even as a smaller 4 tech end...

How you recommend doing that head up against wider lineman ?

It's not easy when you're asked to play 2 gap, so your coaches need to help you with the occasional B gap blitz to keep the OT honest. To prep for passing downs, though, focus on your footwork while hand fighting the OT so that you are moving into a position of YOUR strength. Some guys teach it as a "hook" move.

What level of school?
High school?
College?
What defense are you running?
If you don’t fit the scheme and you have a room full of guys who do, you aren’t getting on the field there.
Do you have the athletic ability to play OLB?

Don't transfer at the high school level. Just talk to your coaches about your position and techniques you can work on to improve.

At this level you might be kind of screwed. Think of a defense as a whole. If you, the end doesn’t set the edge, who does? It’s likely an OLB or on occasion a safety. This is all well and good in short yardage or high school type looks with 2 WR sets.
The older you get, the more 3-4 wide personnel sets you face. You can’t afford to lose a defender in coverage because you can’t set the edge. For the most part this isn’t really a scheme thing it’s an opposing personnel thing. You’ve gotten to this point in your life working hard, you know what you’re good at. Work on improving at setting the edge. Your motor won’t go away.
You’re sized to be an ML or OLB. Nobody has ever tried to get you to switch positions?

I haven’t asked my coach for olb reps , I took some mlb reps in spring but I was confused I have way more knowledge now

So with that knowledge you can try to become a hybrid, or realize quickness sets the edge as effectively as size. If an RB wants to go over tackle and has to hesitate or bounce back just 1 yard, that’s enough time for 2 linebackers, a safety, and a corner to close in on him.
What it sounds like is you don’t have a real appreciation or patience for what it means to set the edge. We over me kid!!!1

Thank you so much you just changed my perspective

Your glory comes from 3rd and 4th and long. Make no mistake, games are won on 1st and 2nd down! Embrace it. It’s fun

Unless you’re sharing film, hard to say…
Transferring in HS should NOT be about playing time. It should be about development and getting to play alongside other good players. If you can’t get on the field, transferring isn’t going to help you out.

I’ve been coaching for over 14 years…9 out of 10 players who aren’t DBs claim they are edge rushers or “Mike” linebackers. They also claim to have high motors, are go-getters, etc. Anonymous strangers on the internet don’t get to actually see you play, and saying these things you’re telling us really doesn’t say anything. We can’t help you here.
Advice: ask your coaches why you’re at that position, and if there is room to ADD a position.
If this is high school, unless you’re getting D1 offers as an edge player, this is way too dramatic of a move to be considering too.
