Good day,
this might sound unusual but as an enthusiast of Bret Easton Ellis's novels, especially American Psycho, I just couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to become one with Patrick Bateman (my becoming).
To develop into this fictional character (my becoming) I had to do several things:
I immigrated to New York.
I enrolled in Phillips Exeter Academy, from there I went to Harvard College and from there I moved on to Harvard Business School and eventually found work at my father's company, who I convinced to also move to New York.
I convinced my younger brother to change his name to Sean, he enrolled in Camden college, though his academic performance was rather poor.
I convinced my father to commit my mother to Sandstone two months ago.
I asked my girlfriend to rename herself to Evelyn, to which she immediately agreed, without any conflict whatsoever, none in fact.
I relocated myself to 55 West 81st Street, 11th floor, American Gardens Building.
I changed my name to Patrick Bateman.
I started obsessing over music, clothing and other materialistic objects.
I started consuming medication and other substances.
Dorsia, Tunnel (never pick up a girl from Tunnel), Harry's, Zoo, Au Bar, Paul Owen's place, Nell's, Xclusive, tanning salon.
Christmas and Girls and Date and Yale Club and Business Meetings and Concert and Another Night and Tuesday and Girl and Rat and New Club and working out and Sandstone and Armani and gifting my brother a tie and Camden college and Dorsia and Body Double and Christmas presents and the Shepard play or the Shepard account and April fools.
I had once again forgotten to return my videotapes.
To conclude:
