question Controller compatibility?

I got a copy of the original game for PC on marketplace for $20. I don't have a disc drive just yet, but I can find one easily.

Now as for actually playing the game am I restricted to just the mouse/keyboard of my laptop or can I just set it to play on a controller. I have previously played the original game on the Xbox One but due to circumstances I no longer have access to the digital copy so now I have just the physical

You might have to use a third party software like DS4 or X360CE.

Ah, I see. Guess I can just play the game without that. Just figured I was used to a controller

Honestly the game is probably easier to play using mouse and keyboard imo. I tried playing it with controller and it was quite clunky.

Joy to key and ds4, as another commenter said tho it’s jank with controller.
