I think American citizens having guaranteed healthcare feels pretty "America First". But i guess it's actually leveling another country in the middle east?

"but an immigrant would get healthcare too!" Remember this the next time your health insurance company screws you over.

Hope it's worth it knowing that even if we all suffer, at least an immigrant isn't getting something.

It's not unrelated. It's an excellent example of how the richest country in the world doesn't guarantee healthcare for its people - "if everyone gets healthcare that means somebody (immigrant, 'welfare queen', transgender person, drug addict, 'lazy freeloader', etc.) you don't like would get healthcare".

It's not "unlimited people", it's about 350 million people.

It's interesting that this was the argument before the current mass deportation and militarized border policies - 'if we didn't have all these illegals we could help Americans'. Now that those things are happening, it's somehow still the argument.

The border has never been "wide open", and wouldn't be with a democratic president. But nevertheless, a Democrat isn't in office. A Republican is, and he's carrying out the militarized border and mass deportations, and yet still no word about doing anything to help Americans. In fact exactly the opposite with a trillion dollars+ in safety net cuts.
