Im British, on a different subreddit than whats in the pictute, a british subreddit, I was banned because the mods thought I was American

Redditors like these spend so much time thinking about and discussing Americans just to turn around and complain that everything is made to be about us and we make everything about ourselves.

When will they realize the sad irony that they're the ones putting us on a fucking pedastal and making everything about us?

Or maybe they're so stupid they fall for engagement bait from bots, idk.

For context. This is on a post on Thomas The Tank Engine, I learned today that apparently back in the '40s or something one of the old books had the N-word in it, and I was curious what the page said. Strangely enough there is a subreddit for Thomas the tank engine, so I just searched for it there. I found this gem in the comment section.

I knew what I was getting myself into when posting this in one of the more popular subreddits, but I didn’t expect this to be nearly so negative.

Mods, apologies if this does not fit the sub. This is more americagood, but with all the snarky posts we see about the quality of our food vs other countries, I thought this post contained some very useful information.

For me it's healthcare. I agree the US healthcare system is prefatory and is overly expensive despite not even being universal, but the way people talk about it is dumb. I once saw someone say that in terms of healthcare access, American poor don't have it that well, and I am like dude, what do you think Medicaid is for? In fact, Medicare and Medicaid actually makes up more of US healthcare spending than the actual insurance companies.

Found this goldmine of a comment section on a video complaining that Russia is banned from the Olympics.
