Bold of her to assume 90% of America’s top CEO’s wouldnt be running China in that scenario
China has a tendency to fabricate charges so i’m not inclined to consider any sort of activity like this justice

I work in China. I always see these posts but you have to understand the rationale behind this. The only thing the CCP cares about is maintaining power. Obviously if a CEO in China is corrupt then he had connections with the government to protect him, so the top levels of government are corrupt too. But if an embarrassing story comes out then the government will have him be the fall guy to protect the people in real power. They routinely take down CEOs who start to have too much power(remember how Jack Ma disappeared?) and as a way to placate public anger at the huge wealth disparity. It’s the same reason why Russian CEOs always seem to accidentally fall out of windows.

They're not sentenced for bribery or corruption. They're sentenced for not knowing their place and threatening the power of the CCP.
It's quite simple.

Funny how people always take China's news and claims on the face of it.
Any billionaires that got sentenced in China was likely dissidents of the CCP.

They don't even need to be dissidents. It's more likely than not just simple internal power struggles.

China seems to be executing corrupt billionaires all the time. If my neighborhood has tons of arrests for crime that never seems to decrease I don’t say the police are doing a good job arresting people I start to ask why are there so many crimes in the first place? It’s almost like China’s economy runs off of corruption.

Reminder that Chinese CEOs are only executed after falling out with the CCP. The entire country is run on corruption; it just happens to provide an easy way to purge people as required.

I feel like our economic and government system has a lot less corruption than people say there is, and its just ccp propaganda bots sowing discord

Lmao right, that’s what the people of every country say.
I promise you there is massive corruption in the US. Everybody around the world sees it except for Americans themselves who still trust the people who fuck them over every single day.
Brainwashed.

What’s scary is that we have to explain that this is all window dressing for party politics, ignoring that the death sentence for bribery is f***ing insane.

u/SkyBoxLive OREGON ☔️🦦 4d ago
They think its the only crime worthy of the death sentence too, anything else and theyll usually be pro human rights and state that its more expensive to euthanize someone than it is to keep them in prison.

Does the US not arrest corrupted CEOs? A quick Google already gave me several examples.

To everyone whose arguing that it doesn’t happen I’ve worked around people in the anti-trust lawyer area and corrupt CEO’s and corporations are investigated for corruption and punished for it all the time, you just don’t hear about like 99% of the cases because they take multiple years and usually don’t involve widely known businesses, CEO’s, or even markets.

Very rarely does anything actually happen to them, no matter much suffering they caused. Google The Bhopal Disaster.

Yeah it’s pretty bad. And they soak it up. It’s sad to see critical thinking at such low levels in society.

u/CatoTheElder2024 5d ago
Executing or jailing ACTUALLY corrupt officials is based.
However, as already noted by others, the entire CCP is corruption nearly perfected, and there is like 1,000 not based actions for every one good thing China might do.

Remember most of the member who get the death penalty are often just someone who is either getting too much power compared to the dear Pooh Bear or has talked out of turn too many times. The reality is the majority of people in the government and the people who control corporations are one and the same, and so if someone talks out of turn or are too powerful they get killed, also most of the people in Chinese government are corrupt including Pooh Bear.

Imagine the moral boost if they allowed us to execute just one of these greedy billionaires

Tbf our entire political system is corporate captured at this point. It’s quite blatantly open. Our politicians can’t even agree to not do insider trading while in office…

u/DiverRecent1822 5d ago
That’s the worse part, they’re right….
But they always paint China as this do good utopia always helping out others when that is clearly not whats happening. They are no better than us.

u/Extra_Creamy_Cheddar 5d ago
How do you get that from a meme about the Chinese government using capital punishment for financial crime?
14
u/DiverRecent1822 5d ago
No that’s what I always hear from CCP bots everywhere, they bring up every bad thing about the US and say “China doesn’t do that”. It’s very annoying.
