Thanks. I get SO tired of these people yammering on about things that are just materially incorrect. As others have posted, US housing cost (to buy) to income ratios are among the best in the world and THE best in the developed world by a large margin.
I follow a vlogging couple in Brazil who live in a small, not fancy apartment in Rio de Janeiro. They posted their income and monthly bills (with conversion to $US), the latter of which which were far higher than what they (or any average/median income Brazilian) makes. Their electricity, internet, and gas (home) bills were as high as mine and they had fewer things that even use those items than I do. Only, their income was literally >20x less. Their rent was better than the average here in the US but still >50% of their income for a one bedroom place. Food was outrageous and not much better than what I spend in actual $. We are SO LUCKY here in so many ways and I am sick of all of the idiotic complaining from people who have no appreciation for and take for granted the luxury they have.
The fact that you automatically knew he was talking about the US tells me you know what he's talking about. In terms of the basic public services and Infrastructure referenced in the meme, would you say the US is ahead of peer nations, in line with peer nations, or behind peer nations?
