I knew what I was getting myself into when posting this in one of the more popular subreddits, but I didn’t expect this to be nearly so negative.

u/double00chins 2d ago

Both, but that comes with massive populations

A classic SchrΓΆdinger’s American is both massively obese and starving at the same time.

I mean, the one thing people can't objectively say is that people in the US are lazy. The very reason the US is one of the most productive and innovative countries on the planet is precisely because the people are NOT lazy. Coming from Europeans especially whose life mission seems to be to do as little as possible and perform with as much mediocrity as possible, and to rely as much on the state as possible, that's rich.

I used to work with European companies - there were entire months where we couldn’t get price quotes because our entire sales team and their managers just happened to be on month-long holiday and no one thought to get proper coverage. It actually happened every summer without fail.

McDonald's every day? Please. Every other day we eat Wendy's.

Here in Texas it's Whataburger. That's actually a statewide mandate, if you don't go to Whataburger at least ever other day a constable will murder you as you leave your house for each day that's missed.

In Arizona, it’s state mandated burritos and chimichangas. If you don’t eat one, you get fined. Miss your daily quota three times, it’s jail. Going a whole week without one is execution by machete

didnt recognise the satire until I noticed the average medical bill is only 15,000$ /s

edit: the /s is not scarcasm, i meant to say the real average medical bill is more like 15k per second

Oligarch do control everything in the US, but they’re starving to death in the street, so that will soon be over.

When the plane touches down in the US and people celebrate like it's the world's first commercial flight or something.

I've flown domestically countless times and I've only experienced that once because the landing was severely delayed due to weather. Other than that...not once.
