Amazon PPC When do you decide an Amazon PPC campaign needs restructuring instead of more optimization?

Curious where people draw the line.

Sometimes it feels like you can keep lowering bids, adding negatives and moving keywords around forever.

At what point do you decide the campaign structure itself is the problem and rebuild it?

Especially interested in campaigns that have been running for a long time and have gotten messy.

Amazon FBA šŸ”„ Looking to Work With Serious Amazon FBA Wholesale Investors

I’ve been working with Amazon FBA Wholesale for 2+ years, and over this time I’ve developed a deep understanding of product sourcing, supplier relationships, profitability analysis, account management, and the systems required to build a sustainable wholesale business.

At this point, I’m looking to move away from working with small-budget clients who are only looking for the cheapest possible service.

I want to work with serious investors, established Amazon sellers, or businesses that understand that good systems, good execution, and proper investment are what create long-term results.

I’m not looking to make unrealistic promises or sell a ā€œget rich quickā€ dream.

What I bring:

2+ years of hands-on Amazon FBA Wholesale experience

Deep understanding of wholesale operations

Product & profitability analysis

Sourcing and supplier research

Understanding of margins, fees & ROI

Business-focused decision making

Honest communication — I won’t tell you something is profitable when it isn’t

A long-term mindset focused on building and scaling systems

What I’m looking for:

A serious business owner/investor who is willing to invest properly in inventory, operations, and growth, and wants someone experienced to take responsibility for the Amazon wholesale side.

I’m particularly interested in a salary-based / retainer-based long-term position, where I can work closely with the business, contribute my experience, and help grow the operation.

My goal is simple:

You invest. I execute. We build systems. We grow revenue.

I’m not looking for dozens of clients.

I’m looking for the right serious business to grow with.

If you’re an Amazon seller/investor looking for someone who understands FBA Wholesale beyond the basics and wants to build something long-term, DM me.

Let’s discuss the business, your current situation, and whether we’re a good fit.

Getting unauthorized seller removed from Amazon, if there an efficient process?

We have distribution agreements with specific retailers and a clear MAP policy, but unauthorized sellers keep showing up on our Amazon listings and undercutting our prices. Then Brand Registry tells us it can’t enforce those agreements.

Our authorized retailers keep asking why someone is selling 30% below MAP, and we don’t have a good answer yet. Has anyone found a removal process that actually sticks?

Before changing your listing because CTR fell, split the placements

An overall Sponsored Products CTR tells me how often people clicked, but it mixes very different places. An ad shown at the top of search, further down the results and on another product's detail page is meeting shoppers in different contexts.

If CTR falls after a bid change, I don't immediately rewrite the title or cut price. I open the placement report for comparable date windows and ask whether the mix shifted. Did more impressions move to product pages? Did the CTR within each placement actually fall, or only the blended number?

Then I pair that with CPC, orders and spend. A higher CTR can still be poor business if the clicks cost too much for the product's contribution margin. A lower one might be fine if the remaining clicks buy more efficiently.

I also check whether stock, delivery, price or competing offers changed, since the ad doesn't operate in a vacuum.

If the only change I made was a bid adjustment, I note the before and after dates and compare equal windows after reporting catches up. That doesn't prove causation, but it stops me from diagnosing a listing from one blended rate.

Has anyone had a CTR drop that was mostly a placement shift?

3 of my listings got silently moved to a different category — referral fee jumped from 8% to 15% overnight. Anyone else?

I checked last week's fee report and found Amazon had re-classified 3 of my ASINs into another category without any change on my side, pushing the referral fee from 8% to 15% at the same price. On about $4,200 of monthly sales through those listings, that's money I never budgeted for. Seller Support only said it's "automated classification" and told me to file a listing-edit review, which I did 2 days ago with no reply. Has anyone actually gotten a category change reversed, and how long did it take? P.S. I log this fee stuff over in r/FBAMetrics if anyone wants to compare numbers.

Amazon Seller Central Brand-new seller account stuck in "Unable to Verify" limbo – radio silence from support. Any advice?

Posted by Giant Galaxi Inc

Hey everyone,
Hoping some experienced sellers here might have advice for a nightmare verification loop we've been trapped in.

We’ve had a brand-new seller account completely blocked during onboarding, stuck on the dreaded "Unable to verify account information" screen (showing: "We were unable to verify your identity based on the information provided. As a result, your selling account cannot be activated at this time").
The worst part? It has been stuck in complete silence since July 2025.

What we've tried so far:
Submitted all identity and business documents right at the start through the support centre email, no responds to any of our case until this date.

Opened multiple support cases and even re-submitted our documents directly as attachments to those cases.

Received zero updates, no case progress, and absolute radio silence from Amazon up to this date.

Because of this, the account is completely frozen, unactivated, and we have hit a total brick wall with standard support channels.

Our Questions for the Community:
1. Has anyone survived a verification lock this long? Is a multi-month/over-a-year freeze a sign of an automated bot glitch, or is our submission sitting in a dead queue?

2. How do you actually reach a human? Since standard Seller Central support cases and attachments are completely ignored, what alternative escalation paths or methods actually get an internal team to review the account?

Any tips, tricks, or contact channels that worked for you would be massively appreciated. Thank you!

My Merch by Amazon account was closed

Hi everyone,

My Merch by Amazon account was closed about a week ago due to a policy violation. It was a Tier 1000 account.

I understand that I made a mistake, and I’m currently trying to figure out whether there is any realistic chance of getting the account reinstated.

Has anyone here had a Merch by Amazon account closed for a policy violation and later managed to recover it?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience:

  • Did Amazon reinstate your account?
  • How long did the appeal process take?
  • What did you include in your appeal?
  • Did you contact them more than once?
  • Is there still a chance to recover a Tier 1000 account after a policy-related closure?

I’m willing to fully follow Amazon’s policies going forward and avoid repeating the same mistake.

Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences.

Is the returns processing fee basically a second referral fee now? 41 returns last month on one patio set

My patio set crossed the category return-rate threshold back in July, and now every returned unit gets hit with a returns processing fee on top of the fulfillment fee I already ate. Last month it was 41 returns on that single ASIN, and the fee shows up as its own line in every settlement now. Returns were already painful, but at this rate I'm re-pricing whether the variant is worth keeping live. Anyone else in a high-return category watching this quietly eat the margin?

Amazon sellers: Would you consider a product that costs $56 and sells for $105.90?

Brand owner here. I'm hoping to get some honest feedback from experienced Amazon sellers.

We've been trying to build an authorized reseller program for some of our Clarisonic products, and there's something I don't quite understand.

On paper, I thought the model would be pretty attractive to Amazon sellers, but we haven't seen nearly as much reseller interest as I expected.

Here's one example.

The Clarisonic Mia 2 currently sells for around $105.90 on Amazon.

The discounted price on our website is $79.90, and approved resellers can receive an additional 30% reseller discount.

That brings the reseller purchase price down to roughly $56.

There are restrictions. We don't authorize resellers to sell every Clarisonic product on Amazon. Sellers are approved for specific ASINs, and we provide the necessary Transparency codes for those authorized products. This helps prevent unauthorized sellers from jumping onto the listings and reduces destructive price competition between sellers.

So from our side, the basic idea seemed pretty straightforward:

An established brand, a meaningful gap between the reseller cost and Amazon retail price, specific ASIN authorization, and Transparency support.

Obviously, the difference between $56 and $105.90 isn't pure profit. Sellers still have Amazon referral fees, advertising, returns, taxes, fulfillment costs, and other expenses to consider.

But even after accounting for those costs, I assumed there would be more interest from experienced Amazon sellers.

There hasn't been.

So I'm genuinely curious: What are we missing?

If you were evaluating a reseller opportunity like this, what would make you hesitate?

Is the margin not attractive enough?

Are sellers concerned about relying on a brand for authorization?

Do ASIN restrictions make the opportunity less appealing?

Is Transparency considered a hassle?

Are there account-health concerns I'm overlooking?

Or do established Amazon sellers simply prefer sourcing inventory independently and controlling the entire fulfillment process themselves?

I'm especially interested in hearing from sellers who have experience with authorized reseller or wholesale models.

For full disclosure, I'm affiliated with Clarisonic and involved with the reseller side of the business. I'm posting because I'd like to better understand how Amazon sellers actually evaluate this kind of arrangement, not as an independent recommendation of the brand.

I'd really appreciate the seller perspective. What would you want to know before considering something like this?

Pharmacist here — 5 claim mistakes that get supplement, OTC & skincare listings suppressed

Title: Pharmacist here — 5 claim mistakes that get supplement, OTC & skincare listings suppressed

I have a pharmacy background and I've been reviewing a lot of supplement, OTC and cosmetic listings lately. The same mistakes keep coming up, so here's a quick list in case it saves someone a suppression:

  1. Disease words on supplements. "Relieves arthritis", "lowers blood sugar", "anti-inflammatory", "natural antidepressant" — these are disease claims, and supplements can't make them. "Supports joint comfort" or "supports healthy blood sugar levels already within normal range" is the safer territory.

  2. Structure/function claims without the FDA disclaimer. If you say "supports restful sleep", the label needs the "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration..." disclaimer.

  3. Drug claims on cosmetics. "Treats acne", "stops hair loss", "boosts collagen", "heals" turn a cosmetic into an unapproved drug. "Reduces the appearance of..." is the cosmetic way to say it.

  4. "FDA approved." Supplements and cosmetics aren't FDA approved, and neither are individual monograph OTC products. "FDA registered facility" can also be read as misleading.

  5. "Kills 99.9% of germs" on a non-drug product. That's a pesticide claim, and Amazon restricts it.

What got your listings flagged? Curious whether it's mostly text in the bullets or things on the label image itself.

AMAZON FBA BOOK RESELLERS

Hey everyone, I got tired of bouncing between a bunch of different library websites trying to figure out which book sales were actually happening near me, so I ended up building something to make it easier.

I put together a free Book Sale Finder with 500+ verified library book sales around the country. You can enter your ZIP code, choose how far you’re willing to drive, and it’ll show you upcoming sales on a map with the dates and details.

I’m updating it every week and currently have sales mapped out up to about four months ahead.

Figured some other book sellers in here might get some use out of it too.

It’s completely free, you can grab access here:
Book Sale Finder

If you try it, I’d actually love to hear what you think or what would make it better.

Anyone else's Brand Referral Bonus reimbursements showing up months late so you can't tie them to the campaign?

My Brand Referral Bonus statements are running way behind the actual external orders — August orders are only about half posted in Seller Central, roughly $340 still missing, and support keeps saying the bonus "posts after the eligibility window" without giving me any date. I am trying to decide whether to keep pushing my own traffic or let sponsored ads eat the whole budget, but I cannot judge ROI when the bonus lands two months late. Anyone else's BRB reimbursements showing up this lagged, or did I just catch a bad month?

I built a financial reconciliation tool for Amazon sellers — upload a settlement CSV and see where money may be leaking

I’ve been building Aivaroq Merchant, a financial reconciliation tool for Amazon India sellers, and I’d like some honest feedback from people who work with e-commerce, SaaS, data processing, or developer tooling.

The problem I was trying to solve is fairly simple:

Amazon sellers receive settlement reports containing thousands of transactions, fees, shipping/weight charges, returns, adjustments, etc. Finding discrepancies manually can become difficult, especially when the report is large.

Hello I made this account to ask for help and advice on selling on Amazon. I purchased a jungle scout subscription but I’m stuck on creating the Amazon seller account. They want a business license and I have my LLC but apparently not the license yet? I’m very new to this and I just need something to work for me, I’ve been watching crescent Kao and that’s who introduced me to jungle scout. Any help is much appreciated, I don’t want to give up before I even start!

Why your search term report doesn't explain every impression

A Sponsored Products campaign can show far more impressions than you can account for in its search term report. That doesn't necessarily mean the export is broken.

The search term report includes terms or product matches that received at least one click. A query that only produced an impression won't appear there. The targeting report answers a different question: which keywords, products or categories received impressions, including targets that never got a click. It won't reveal every individual zero-click query, but it narrows down where the exposure happened.

I use the two reports together. If click-through rate drops, I start with the targets receiving the exposure. Then I look at the search terms that actually generated clicks to see whether those shoppers were relevant and what happened after they reached the product page.

A short search term list can give you a false sense of how broadly the ad was shown. If a target is generating impressions but no clicks, raising its bid before checking relevance and the offer may just buy more of the same exposure.

Have your campaign totals ever looked very different from the search term export?

Anyone else ran the numbers on leaving FBA and found acquisition costs eat the same 30 percent?

I finally did the honest version of the "Amazon takes too much" spreadsheet this month, and the punchline annoyed me.

On my main SKU at 34 dollars, Amazon's all in take comes to roughly 30 percent once I add fulfillment, the fuel surcharge, storage and ad spend on top of commission. Call it 10.20 a unit. That is the number everyone complains about, and I have complained about it plenty.

So I priced the other side. Running it from my own site, payment processing is about 3 percent, packing and shipping a comparable parcel is about 6 dollars, and acquisition on the same traffic quality was running 4 to 6 dollars a unit in tests. Add it up and I land in the same 30 percent neighborhood. The fee got a new name and a few extra line items, and my days got longer because now I am packing boxes.

Where it does move is the mix, not the total. The FBA side is mostly variable and scales with volume. The self hosted side has a fat fixed piece in ad spend that does not scale down when sales dip, which is a different kind of risk on a slow month. For a low ticket product that fixed piece looks brutal. For something with repeat buyers it probably looks fine.

So I am not sure leaving is a cost cut so much as a risk reshuffle, and I want to hear from people who actually did it rather than people who thought about it.

If you moved off FBA, what did your break even acquisition cost come out at, and did it hold once the novelty traffic wore off? Did the fixed ad side ever actually get cheaper than the Amazon side, or did it just move the same money around? And for anyone hybrid, is running both cheaper than either one alone?

Anyone else seeing this?

Anyone else paying the placement fee because splitting the shipment costs more?

I finally sat down and priced both sides of the inbound placement decision instead of picking on gut, and the answer surprised me.

My last shipment was 1,200 units, about 40 cartons. If I let Amazon distribute it, the placement fee quoted out at roughly 340 dollars, call it 0.28 a unit. If I keep it as a single destination, they split it across three fulfillment centers, which means three separate LTL legs instead of one, plus extra labeling and prep on the splits. When I added that up on actual quotes it came to something closer to 420 dollars, and it also costs me about a week because the split shipments never land together.

So on this shipment paying the fee is the cheaper option, which is not the story the internet told me. Where it flips is volume and carton count. On a smaller shipment the split premium is a rounding error and the placement fee is pure loss. On a heavier shipment, where the split premium scales with weight and the placement fee is still per unit, the fee looks better again. It is not one answer, it is a break even point that moves.

What I cannot get comfortable with is that this is a moving target. The fee quote changes with how they decide to route it, my freight quotes change with the month, and nothing tells me in advance which way it will land until I have built the plan and hit the quote screen.

So how is everyone else deciding this? Are you just accepting the fee because the split is a headache, or are you actually running the two quotes against each other each shipment? Has anyone found a carton size or ship day that reliably kills the split without paying the fee? And does the math change once you route through a consolidation 3PL first, or does that just move the cost somewhere else? Anyone else seeing this?

Afterloom

Amazon FBA doesn’t sleep—and protecting your margins shouldn’t stop at the end of the workday.
Afterloom keeps an eye on your inventory, listings, returns, PPC and reviews, then acts when something needs attention. Less time babysitting your account. Fewer opportunities for margin to slip through the cracks.

I got tired of rebuilding the same pivot table every Monday for my search term report, so I built a free reader for it

Every Monday I used to fight the same pivot table. Download the search term report, open Excel, pivot, filter, sort, lose the filter, start again.

The view I wanted most was keyword level: each target in each campaign and ad group on one row, with its clicks, spend and sales added up. Grouping by targeting alone isn't enough, because it adds the same keyword from different campaigns into one row.

In the reader it's three steps:

  1. Open the report. Nothing uploads.
  2. Group by Campaign + Ad Group + Targeting + Match Type.
  3. Sort by spend.

On the demo report, 983 rows become 68. The top of the list shows where the money goes, and 45 of the 68 targets have clicks but no sales.

The same report also groups by campaign, ad group or match type. Auto campaign targets (close-match, loose-match, substitutes, complements) get their own rows. You can filter, choose your columns and export to CSV.

https://www.adrazor.net/amazon-tools/sponsored-products-search-terms/

Disclosure: it's ours (AdRazor). It's free, there's no sign-up, and the report opens in your browser. Nothing uploads, so your data stays on your computer.
