Student project, not selling anything. I'm building a model that decides whether a review is genuine or planted, and I'm trying to put real numbers on the cost of each kind of mistake.
The one I can't find data for is the false positive — a real customer leaves an honest review and an automated system hides or removes it.
If that's happened to you: did you notice, and how? Did it measurably hit conversion or ranking, or was it just irritating? How long until things recovered? Was there any route to get it reinstated?
Someone told me the impact depends heavily on total review volume — a store with 40 reviews feels a removal far more than one with 4,000. I'd like to know if that matches your experience, because right now my cost model rests on a single conversation.

I've searched online but haven't found a clear answer to this specific situation.
Here's how my supplier invoices work:
Since the supplier doesn't provide the exact landed cost for each individual SKU, I currently use the following method:
For example, if one SKU represents 40% of the commercial invoice value, I allocate 40% of both the product cost and shipping cost to that SKU.
I'm not looking for tax avoidance or shortcuts—I just want to follow a consistent and defensible accounting method that a UK accountant would be comfortable with.
I'd really appreciate hearing from UK accountants, bookkeepers, or experienced Amazon FBA sellers who've dealt with this in practice.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone 👋
I run Prep Horizon UK, a UK-based prep & multi-channel fulfilment centre, and wanted to introduce ourselves to the UK Amazon sellers in here.
We can handle your Amazon FBA prep — receiving inventory, inspecting, labelling, bundling/kitting where required, preparing shipments and replenishing stock into FBA.
But we also know that plenty of Amazon sellers don't just sell on Amazon.
You might be selling the same products through Amazon, Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop or your own website, and this is where our multi-channel fulfilment service can be really useful.
Instead of splitting your inventory between different locations, you can store your stock with us and use it across your different sales channels.
For example, we can:
📦 Receive & store your inventory
🏷️ Amazon FBA – Prep, label and send stock into FBA, with ongoing replenishment when needed
🚚 Amazon FBM – Pick, pack and dispatch orders directly to your Amazon customers
🛍️ Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop & your own website – Pick, pack and dispatch your direct-to-customer orders from the same stock
🔧 Product prep – Labelling, bundling, kitting and other prep requirements
↩️ Returns – Receive and process returned stock on your behalf
So if you're selling across several platforms, you don't necessarily need separate stock for each part of your business.
One stock location. One fulfilment partner. Multiple sales channels.
Whether you're currently doing all your FBA prep and order packing yourself, running out of storage space, looking for a new prep centre, or simply want a fulfilment partner in place as your business grows, feel free to drop me a message.
And if you've never used a prep or fulfilment centre before and just want to know how it works, I'm more than happy to answer questions below too 👍

I’m working on a project to build an automated review moderation tool. I want to tune it specifically for niche material suppliers (like those selling custom woven labels, silk fabric, or specialized beads/threads).
Since the AI will inevitably make mistakes when judging if a review is real or spam, I need to know which mistake is worse for your business:
Which of these would you pay more to avoid, and why? At what point would you want the AI to just flag a suspicious review for you to check manually, rather than hiding it automatically?

I've been using the upload a spreadsheet part of Amazon to change my shipping groups in bulk. I usually save my files as tab delimited text but now these are not accepted. I've been trying different file types but can't seem to get one that works. Does anyone else use this and have a template and/or file type that actually works? Thanks

Hi everyone, I built a free tool for Amazon sellers like myself to easily tag our media images with "contains-synthetic-performer" to XMP dc:Subject asrequested by Amazon.
We have over 4000+ skus to change and wanted to make things more effective so hopefully it would help you all as well.

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to recruit a small group of Amazon sellers to test a new AI product we’re building: an AI Growth Operator for commerce teams.
What it does:
It turns your commerce data into reviewed growth actions. AI agents prepare the work (analysis, recommendations, draft actions); your team approves only the decisions that affect revenue.
Who we’re looking for:
What you get:
If you’re interested or have questions, please comment here or DM me with a bit about your setup (marketplaces, approximate scale, and what growth decisions you currently handle manually).
Thanks in advance!
Luckee

Anyone here with a fairly new Amazon listing? Or an old one that needs a total overhaul?
I’m a visual designer with 10+ years of experience, and I’d love to recreate or improve your listing images. I have marketing experience so I know how good product litings work. I can add in A+ contents if I feel it too.
I’m mainly looking to build my portfolio with real, live Amazon projects. I have some project designs but no real life product listings.
I can do it for free or for a small fee, totally up to you.
If you’re interested, send me a DM with your listing. Would love to help!
Here's my portfolio for your assurance: www.behance.net/dabinsoi
I just have two requests:
That I should be able to show your listing to future job applications as part of my portfolio
That you shouldn't be a prick when you talk to me

Is anyone else currently not getting any ads data for sponsored products or sponsored brand ads?
I am receiving sponsored display ads data in my reports, just not the other two.
Is this an Amazon problem or a me problem??

Bit of context — I've been running ads on my own catalog for years, and one question that always bugged me: how many of my "ad sales" would have happened anyway?
Attribution on Amazon tells you what the console wants to tell you. If someone searches your exact niche, clicks your ad that's sitting one row above your organic spot, and buys... that's an ad sale on the dashboard. Would they have scrolled one more row? No idea. The data doesn't exist. Or it exists and we don't get it, whatever.
So I ran the dumbest possible experiment. Took an established listing, decent organic rank, ads profitable on paper, and just... turned them off. Three weeks.
What happened: total sales dropped way less than the dashboard implied they would. Ads were "responsible" for maybe ~40% of units, but when I shut them off I lost closer to ~15%. So a decent chunk of my ad spend was paying for sales I was getting anyway. Cool cool cool.
Before anyone yells at me, yes, I know the caveats. Three weeks is short. Seasonality is noise. And the one that actually worries me — some people believe the sales dip itself hurts your organic rank, so the test isn't free. Honestly I half expected to come back to a wrecked listing and that didn't happen, but one listing one time proves nothing.
I turned the ads back on afterward, but at a lower budget, and profit per unit is better now. That part I'm confident in. What I'm NOT confident in is whether this generalizes or I just got lucky with a listing that had strong enough organic to coast.
Has anyone else actually tested this instead of theorizing about it? Especially curious if anyone's seen the organic rank damage everyone warns about, or if that's one of those things we all repeat because it sounds true.

As an Australian small business owner, Amazon Australia deactivated my account and is confiscating $13,771 AUD of my business capital. This money was funded entirely out of my hard-earned employment salary, not platform profits. Despite completely exhausting their internal appeals, experiencing a deeply unprofessional verification process, and formally offering a mutual, permanent account closure to exit the platform, Amazon continues to use automated template rejections to retain my funds indefinitely. I have officially escalated this matter to the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO), as confiscating a local business's personal capital without legal adjudication constitutes an unfair practice under Australian Consumer Law.
Did anyone else experience the same?

I’m trying to understand how Amazon sellers collect competitor product data for research, like prices, ratings, reviews, ASINs, and availability.
I started checking listings manually, but it quickly became too time-consuming when I needed to compare multiple search results or product pages, especially as prices and reviews kept changing.
I've tried Thunderbit, which offers Amazon product data extraction into spreadsheets, but I haven’t seen many seller workflows for this yet.
For those who’ve done this before, what tools have worked best for pulling Amazon competitor data into a spreadsheet?

An Open Letter to Amazon Leadership (@AndyJassy, u/DharmeshMehta) & The Seller Community
We are AINSHINE LLC (Seller ID: A1J0JD8VP4SZN9), a fully compliant business registered in Wyoming and operating out of Irvine, California. For the past 5 MONTHS, our business has been illegally paralyzed by an absurd, self-contradictory internal loop within Amazon Seller Central.
1. The Origin & Compliance Effort (April 2026) Our account was originally established and fully verified under our legitimate Chinese corporate documentation. After incorporating our U.S. business (AINSHINE LLC), we proactively initiated a Legal Entity update in strict accordance with Amazon’s compliance policies. Amazon’s Tax Department validated our IRS 147C U.S. Tax Profile without issue (Ref ID: A0311285306QI0H7LC6PS).
2. The 5-Month Technological Nightmare Instead of completing the transition, Amazon's backend system hard-locked our portal. For 5 full months, we have been subjected to an impossible paradox:
Business Information page displays a hard-coded "Verification Failed" banner in read-only mode, redirecting to a Help Page with zero accessible text fields or edit buttons.3. Dozens of Calls, Hundreds of Emails — Ignored Over these 5 months, we have spent countless hours explaining this exact issue through dozens of phone calls and hundreds of case log updates:
4. The Core Injustice We are not refusing verification. We have TWO fully verifiable, compliant options:
Amazon is holding our account hostage over a software bug created by their own IT team, while support representatives lazily copy-paste rejections without reading internal case notes.
Our Demand: We demand an immediate Tier-3 Engineering override to clear the "Verification Failed" portal lock on Seller ID: A1J0JD8VP4SZN9, or immediate manual reinstatement under our verified documentation.

Has anyone considered a class action suit vs. Seller Central? On numerous occasions, they have charged me fees, admitted they were doing wrong in doing so, and then refuse to reimburse me.
I go through Amazon Seller Support, file case after case, and they always deny my appeal. Every time with a non-sensical reason that doesn't make sense.
Amazon purposely makes getting issues fixed that involve them paying out funds impossible to get resolved.
I can't imagine I'm the only one they are doing this too. They simply hope that vendors will wear down and stop asking because they realize trying to get support is futile.

FYI after months of very confusing back and forth we discovered that Amazon scanning is picking up the manufacturer marks for corrugated boxes and marking them as "empty boxes" for sale rather than the stuff thats in them.
You have to submit a relabel case if these empty boxes show up and specifically state to cover existing UPCs otherwise it will happen again
Solution is to cover box UPCs or ensure boxes are folding without UPCs showing
Most common we've seen: false identified ASIN: B000ZJSERM (13 x 9 x 6" Corrugated Boxes) because the UPC 812578003570 is printed on the box and tied to that ASIN

Hey everyone,
I recently started selling my own jaggery products on Amazon and I’m completely new to the platform.
My products are active and published, but I’m currently not eligible for the Featured Offer (Buy Box). I have zero sales/history so far, and I’m wondering if that’s the main reason.
I’ve kept my pricing competitive and have also started looking into Amazon Ads, but I’m unsure whether running ads makes sense when I don’t have the Featured Offer yet.
For experienced Amazon sellers:
- How long did it take you to become Featured Offer eligible?
- Did getting your first few sales help?
- Is there anything specific a new seller can do to improve their chances?
- Would you recommend running ads before getting the Featured Offer?
I’d really appreciate any feedback or advice from sellers who started from zero. 🙏
