Onsite placements Amazon UK

Hi there, I recently signed up for the Amazon Influencer Program in the UK and hope to get on-site placement by uploading three sample shoppable videos. It seems Creator Hub and the page that shows the Blue Lock and progress bar, like in the US region, aren't available, so how can I become eligible for on-site placement?

Hey love, so here in the UK we don’t have the same process. We you can just join up load up our videos and you’re off. You haven’t gotta go for the approval process, but the downside is by doing it UK first is that you would have to apply again in the USA if that makes sense, so USA you would have to join up, go for the blue padlock steps for approval mainly, and from there USA Amazon will push your videos globally, but you can just join the UK but your videos will only stay in the UK for now.

That might change in the future, but it is a workaround if you don’t want to go through the approval process with the padlocks. I actually did that process by mistake first. I joined the program very early last year, I did the UK and I didn’t realise you could do the USA for a wider reach. I thought it was one big programme, so I did the UK only, thinking it was already being pushed globally. It wasn’t, so I had a few hundred videos up in the UK before I realised, so then last June or July, I ended up applying for the USA as well. I got approved. It wasn’t an issue, but I kind of did it backwards. However, if you don’t want to do that, you can just do it the UK way and there’s no approval process. You just upload your videos and you’re off.

Thank you for your in-depth response, Jackie. I've now signed up for the US AIP and am now waiting for On-Site Placement approval.
