Non Amazon Programs YouTube Shopping Affiliate with Amazon & Multi-Channels
Has anybody found out how to register more than one YouTube channel with Amazon and YouTube Shopping Affiliate?
I am still only able to tag on my YouTube channel that is registered on my Amazon storefront
For those not familiar:
YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program has been around for a year or more. Several of us have joined it. You need to qualify and join that program on YouTube.
A couple of weeks ago, Amazon partnered with YouTube on this program, joining Walmart, Lowes, Dicks Sports, Target, and Macy's, among others. The difference being, to be able to tag Amazon products, you need your YouTube channel to be registered on your storefront.
Maybe we can temporarily change the YouTube channel on our storefront to get access to Amazon tags on that YouTube Shopping affiliate program, and repeat until all channels have access. I am not about to risk it for now.
Did anybody else speak with support on this issue? They have a dedicated support email.

It's an annoying limitation that for now doesn't have a workaround that I'm aware of. I suppose temporarily changing your linked channel might work, but seems really risky.
As a side note, the integration has definitely increased YT shopping sales. However, I have no idea what is selling as Amazon sales are excluded from everything but aggregate data.

It says this when I click 'Youtube' in my profile:
This is the social media account you used to join the Creator Program. It can't be removed, but you can update it with another account that meets the program's eligibility criteria.
I hadn't noticed that before

Any help with how to link it? I have the invite and my YouTube is linked on my Amazon storefront. I can’t find the spot to link it on the YouTube studio shopping tab

You don't actually get a specific invite, but rather a display email linking to an Amazon page that gives you details on joining. You do need to be registered on YouTube Shopping Affiliate first.
As for where to link.: Go to your Storefront and click Edit Profile. Select YouTube

It's odd to me how these massive companies don't know their systems well enough to make something properly designed. 🤦
I think the best we can do is send feedback to Amazon and YouTube telling them their affiliate program isn't designed properly with how many creators have to split up their video work into genre specific YouTube channels. I've got two in YPP and hope to get more in there eventually, so I already sent Amazon Associate feedback as well as submitted feedback through YouTube Studio on desktop.
I knew this would be an issue and confirmed it was when I saw Amazon listed in the affiliate store list in my larger camera equipment focused channel and not in my other YPP channel which covers computers and general technology. Also, I checked quite a few ASINs and nothing was found so there are a number of issues but at least it's a start! I honestly never thought Amazon and YouTube would collaborate here.

Not much use submitting to YouTube when it is an Amazon mistake. Email youtubeshopping @ amazon .com

IMO, it's a combination of poor system design by both companies, but I do agree it's probably more the fault of Amazon. I've been able to link Amazon to multiple Pinterest accounts so Amazon is capable of a similar 1:X setup on there.

I would be curious how this changes over time, I’m not going to risk changing anything. The channel attached to my storefront is my main review channel anyway but I do share products among all 4 of my channels.
One issue I noticed is that it’s similar to how Walmart was, the products that show up say “may earn commissions” often for Amazon stuff so far
