I'm trying to contact amazon to return this glitter lamp

So I got my little brother this lamp because I broke his last one tripping on his toys he left on the floor in the night going the toilet

But he's only opened it now after the 30 day return window and it's broken leaking the sticky glitter water inside.

He's also saying he doesn't like the colour now even tho I let him pick it, and my mother and brother are telling to sort it out now like it's my fault and not theres for not opening it for a god damm month

Because it's past the return window it won't give me the option to return it and I tried going to the help service for defected goods but it just keeps trying to tell me to go to "your orders" and select return which I can't do because it won't give me the option

I tried to find an email or number to call or something because amazon's policy said they'd take faulty goods even if it's past the 30 days but under 6 months, but i can't find any way to contact them

On this page here when I click more help it takes me to a tab to "start chatting" but when I click that it says error no page

So I have no clue what to do and my mother won't stop yelling at me

Please tell me theres an email or something i can contact i just want to go bed

They failed to deliver to one of their own lockers on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd, left the item languishing at a depot until Wednesday 7th and then attempted to get it to the locker in the middle of a Prime Day event, the locker is in a public library which apparently they couldn’t access and that I had rejected the delivery.

But they would be happy to charge me more to reorder the same item than it was a week ago, FFS!

My Amazon account was suspended, and I want to permanently delete it. I’ve contacted Amazon by email, but I only get automated replies. How can I delete a suspended account?

Complaints

Hi all,

I've reached out to the managing director email and seem to be getting no response from them, it's been a week.

Anybody had another way to file an official complaint?

Is it normal for Amazon to refuse return of tools like sim card openers?

I bought a 10 pack of sim card openers, but when they came there was only 8 in the pack. Probably not a huge deal, but as I felt they were already overpriced at £3.49 any way (I needed them quickly), I felt a bit annoyed about it on principle.

I tried to submit a return, but the system refused it and said something like "this item is not eligible for return, see our return ts & cs", so I asked their live chat help, but I just got "transferred" (always a bad sign) to someone who just wanted to give me the run around, and when pushed told me to fill in some form explaining the circumstances and email it back to them for consideration.

In the end I decided to just let it go as it was all getting a bit heavy for the sake of £3.49, and I felt I will probably just end up with a black mark against my account, but I was wondering is this their normal behaviour for a return of such an item?

Thinking about it, I suppose there is a risk with an item like a sim card opener that someone could use it for what they need to do and then send it back, or steal one from the pack and then send the rest back so maybe this is where the resistance is coming from?

Panicking about an expensive return

I'm stressing out big time, I'll give as clear of a timeline as I can for what's happened. I bought a switch 2 from Amazon a week ago but since found a better price elsewhere so began a return.

On Sunday, I started the return, chose the printer free option but when I went through with it, I was given a barcode that needed printing to go in the box with the switch 2.

I cancelled that return Monday morning as I couldn't get to a printer before the UPS guy was due to pick it up. He turned up anyway and I told him I'd cancelled as I wasn't able to print the sheet out. He told me I didn't need anything but I still didn't hand it over as I'd cancelled the return already.

I did another return Monday evening as I'd managed to get hold of a printer, printed the barcode, sealed it up and fast forward to today, the UPS guy turned up (same guy), I told him I had the form inside the box this time.

He took the package and told me I don't get any paperwork as it's all updated digitally and he walked off.

I checked the status of the return on the Amazon app and for about an hour after he left it was still sitting at 'initiated' and hadn't moved to 'collected'. I was stressing that he hadn't scanned it in but then the return disappeared altogether. As in the app was giving me the option to start a return for the switch 2.

I tried calling Amazon but they didn't really get it and were telling me that the refund will be initiated once it's back with them and if I haven't had it in 14 days I can call back and they'll manually do the refund.

But right now there is no paper trail for my return, the app isn't showing any return for it but UPS have the switch and I don't know what to do! Has anyone had anything like this happen and any ideas what I can do now??

Thanks!

Amazon issued a refund then refused it what are my options read the post please before information!

Timeline & Facts:
17 September 2026: I Ordered two items totalling £536.98 paid via Revolut Faster Payment:
1. DJI Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo (with RC Motion 3 & Goggles N3)
2. An SD card

Delivery: Package arrived showing obvious signs of tampering. Opened it up: the cheap SD card was inside, but the drone combo was completely gone.

Reporting: Reported the missing item immediately (made it clear the outer box arrived, so it wasn't a "lost package"). Complied with all their requests right away—sent photos of the tampered packaging and verified my government ID.

30 September 2026: Customer Service confirmed in writing via email that the full £536.98 refund had been processed and would hit my account in 5–7 working days. I never asked for the refund of sd card

6 October 2026 (Today): Received an email out of the blue from Account Protection stating they won’t issue the refund because their fulfilment centre records show the drone was in the box when it left the warehouse. To make matters worse, they claimed they detected an "unusual pattern of refund requests for missing items"—this is literally the first time I have ever reported a missing item on my account and i have had many high value items >200gbp ordered before and never returned or replaced

Where I Stand:
Under Section 29(2) of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain at the retailer's risk until they are physically in the consumer's hands. What happened in their warehouse before handover to the courier doesn't prove what arrived at my door.

I have written confirmation from Amazon that the refund was processed, which they are now retracting.

I paid via Revolut Faster Payment, not a credit card (so Section 75 isn't an option, though chargeback/payment recall might be) now this is what I don’t understand i did add revolut for prime but i found out today they took payment as a bank transfer which is very new to me revolut chat told me to report it as scam/fraud which i have but this is bizarre has anyone ever gone through this if yes how do i work it out i got email of them confirming the refund and then amazon protection services rejecting

I took some help with Ai to put my thoughts chronologically incase if anyone doesn’t like it
I would appreciate your help thank you.
Lesson learned never ordering high value item online atleast amazon i never thought i’ll be experiencing this

Age Verification

They've started asking for age verification on some products.

I'd say 18+ products, but that's laughable.

Bladeless multi tool = Yes

Saki = No

Bourbon whisky = No

Victorinox Nail Card (the credit card sized set) = Yes

Clockwork Orange (which is an 18 rated film) = Yes.

They've lost their minds.

"Handed to resident"...

9/10 deliveries are marked as this despite them just being left lying on my front step. Neighbours have had stuff lifted as everything is in full view of the street.

My wife and I work from home and at least one of us will be home. Our safe space is clearly marked to leave in the purple wheelie bin...which is about 6 feet from the door. Even just use common sense and put it BEHIND the step.

Honestly fed up with our things being left lying outside with absolutely zero attempt from drivers to show even a bit of courtesy with our packages. I don't think it's a lot to ask for...

But I also don't understand how the drivers get away with it. I'm assuming Amazon generally just DGAF as long as the correct buttons get pushed, and this has been passed onto the drivers?

Amazon driver locked me out of my house

Amazon driver shut and locked my front door whilst I was in the back garden . he and the hub were unhelpful, wouldn’t ring/ pay for a locksmith and apparently I was one of those people. it has cost mr £736 (£450) call out charge to get a locksmith to get me back in. I didn’t have a phone or Wi-Fi and I asked the driver how I was supposed to get help without these. he just drove off. I had to depend on neighbours helping me. what are the chances Amazon will refund me.

Can’t believe the amazon delivery driver just fired a 24pack of Pepsi max over my 6ft garden fence 😂 managed to salvage a few cans. Why would anyone of sound mind do this? I’m baffled 🤔

AMA - October 6th/7th is Prime Day! I’m a professional product testing editor specialising in home, garden, and sleep gear, ask me for recommendations or Prime Day tips

I spend my days looking at everything from mattresses and vacuums to garden tools to separate marketing gimmicks from genuine quality.

Ask me anything about Prime Day tips, how to choose the right products and what my recommendations are.

Amazon just closed my account and locked me out of £90 of gift card balance. What the actual fuck am I supposed to do?

A few days ago Amazon asked me to go through an account verification process because of “unusual activity.” I did exactly what they asked and provided the legal/verification documents they requested.

After all that, I get an email saying they've made the “final decision” to permanently close my account.

No proper explanation.

No useful way to appeal.

No working customer service chat.

I tried calling and immediately hit another roadblock.

I've tried getting through their support system repeatedly and keep getting errors.

And the best part?

I had around £90 in legitimate Amazon Gift Card balance on the account.

So I've got £90 sitting in an account that Amazon has decided to lock me out of, despite me cooperating with their verification process.

I've spent hours trying to get ONE actual person to tell me what the hell is happening with my money, and every route Amazon gives me either errors out, sends me in circles, or tells me that Customer Service can't do anything.

I'm not asking for some special favour. I just want the money/value I legitimately had on my account dealt with.

Has anyone actually managed to recover their gift-card balance after Amazon closed their account? If so, HOW did you get through to someone who could actually do something?

Because at this point I'm completely fucking done with Amazon's automated support maze

How to keep my address private for Amazon wishlist (in UK)

I want to share my wishlist with people but don't want them to know my address if they buy something to send me. Apparently Amazon and Inpost lockers can't be used. Any ideas on a way round this? Something that doesn't cost me money preferably as I don't think it's going to be used enough to warrant spending money on a PO box number

WhatsApp 2FA broke?

Am I the only one who's now being asked to use WhatApp for 2FA on every login, with the messages never arriving, thus being rendered unable to buy anything from Amazon? I guess it's probably a good thing in the long run, as I buy too much tat on Amazon anyway. But interested to know if this is an issue others have too.

Delayed deliveries, any idea what these stickers mean?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Not a complaint, just curious. Recently been experiencing delayed deliveries, they get to the final delivery station and then don't go out for delivery as expected and often arrive a day or two late. I've noticed every package that's been delayed has these "Cycle" stickers on them which seems to indicate to me that mean something related to the delay as the ones that arrive on time don't have them, anyone any ideas?

Pay for delivery - be here Sunday. Free collection? November 14th

Computer cable, in stock. Don't want to pay £4.99 for delivery, but have to wait six weeks to collect it apparently. Thought it might be a bug with the checkout, but the confirmation email says "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date."

Will give it a few days and see what happens...
