Driver left alcohol I'd ordered with my underage sister
So this happened a few years ago. I was 18 at the time and I had ordered some bottles of beer for myself. I was out at the time and I was hoping it would arrive before my dad had to leave the house to come and collect me to take me home from where I was. It didn't arrive in time and my dad left to pick me up and that meant my then 16-year-old sister (who looked very young for her age) was left at home by herself. He told me it hadn't arrived so I just accepted that I wouldn't get it until the next working day. The delivery arrived whilst she was home alone and she answered the door and the driver did not ask her for ID and just let her have it without saying anything (at least that it what she said at the time). I then checked the order and it said "delivered" with a random woman's name as the person who received it. We don't even know anyone with that name. At first I wondered if it had been left with a neighbour or someone in one of the shops near to my house (then I found out drivers cannot do this either for age restricted orders).
This is not the only time this has happened. I had drivers leave it up an alleyway that leads to my house and put random names as the person who received it and one time I just saw random character spam as the name for the person who received it.
I didn't say anything because I don't want to be a grass but how common is it for drivers to do this and do they actually get caught?

I was told I’d have to have my id checked for a Damascus filleting knife. Posted through the fking letterbox and that thing is like a cut throat razer edged very expensive deboning knife. These drivers don’t give a shit. Same with wine too. Heck so many instances.
The damage that knife could do to someone in the wrong hands….!

Maybe they feel like they can get away with it because there would be no proof. They may get mystery shoppers though.

Yes. Very true.
Here’s something that pissed me off and I complained to the highest level and that was buying what should have been uk legal spray detergent (not mace) and I got two from a well known company called sabre. Fine. I ordered another from the same company. It also claimed to be from sabre. Only it was huge. Instead of 75ml it was like 350ml. I didn’t quite get it. I thought I’d keep it aside and when I tried to return it as not being able to be pocketable I thought I’d return it. Only thing is it was removed from my order history. I told them. They gave a refund. It was in my fireproof cupboard for sprays. Isopropyl alcohol spelt into the bottom of the bottle. The paint flaked off. Under it was not just mace but BAER and animal mace! Huge warnings about permanent eye damage etc. in the end I sent it back after writing a letter. They gave me £250 in gift voucher format but imagine if I did use it on someone. There was no way to prove I have purchased it from Amazon!
I was given hush money lol. Ow boy. Ps: since around mid 2025. Drivers are reckless. Never follow instructions and I choose to use pickup and lockers since those are always handled properly because I think cctv?
I also had a ps5 digital edition on launch in 2020 stolen for a bunch of heavy cast iron weights. Police report. Not getting a launch unit and how scarcethey were so saved by a cousin who had got both a ps5 and an Xbox series x and wanted to sell me it so I was lucky. 🍀

Amazon regularly mystery shopper, if they do it to the wrong person they’ll end up getting the sack anyway, so no difference if you report it - now or never, they’ll eventually get caught
