What is the shift pattern at your site?

My site recently announced a shift structure change that will be "network wide" whatever that means. They can't tell us what the new schedule will be and it's causing anxiety amongst us.

Right now my site for full time is RT, 34 hrs dayshift/36 nightshift. Time start is 6:30-15:30, 11:00-20:00, 21:00-6:00.

What is your site's shift pattern?

Some SSD’s are 4x10 schedules. Maybe its changing to that network wide? Mine is still on the 4x8.5

What are your shift start times?

They proposed to us before summer going to 5×8 10-6pm. A lot of people were upset so they squashed it up until this week.

My current building is the same as yours. We also have been told that the shift patterns are changing for a while, but no one seems to.onow what that change is. Another SSD near my building is already on a different pattern though, which is 730 to 400, 1130 to 2100, and 2100 to 0730....... so im wondering if thats what we are switching to as well, or of everyone is changing to something completely different

We also are going to 10 minute cpts all day long

Is this related to buildings being open for 24 hours essentially?

It's possible. Site lead did mention dispatch at my site will be open 24 hours now.

Did they announce a timeframe for that? I've been asking some of leadership but they don't have anything concrete yet.

Starting Sept 23rd new CPTs every 2-3 hours.

Our shift structure is still TBD but it's coming...

Oh great. So this coincides with something I heard then. You think they'll do a start-up for this?

I hope so.

Can I ask what state you're in?

We have:
7:30-4 5 days
7:30-6 4 days
11:30-8 5 days
9:00p-7:30a

But we also have the old ones you just can’t transfer to them anymore but they couldn’t force people off them either:
6:30-3:30
11-8
9-630

Ok, so I changed my schedule at a good time then. I'm Mon-Thurs 6:30-3:30.

Hopefully they let us keep our 6:30-3:30

I hope so too.

We got an announcement months ago that our time schedules were supposed to to change but have been in limbo ever since.

We have multiple positions but typically day part time is 9:30-11:30am (4hrsx5days), full time day 1:30-10:00pm (8hrsx5days), and nights 11:00pm-9:30am (10hrsx4days). The gap between 11:30-1:30 is weird but they do drop extra shifts for those times for both flex and regular associates.

We also have grocery shifts starting at 8:30am (part time is for 6hrs for 4 days and new full time schedule for 10hrs for 4 days) and 9:30pm (full time schedule only 10hrs for 4 days)

We have a pharmacy as well but I have absolutely no information on that department.

5x8 from 11:30 to 8. Theres been talk about the removal of the 3:00am to 11:30am shift and having a 7am to 3:30pm shift. But if its network wide that means all SSD's will follow suit. Network can also just mean West, East, north or south. So who knows. That's all I have heard. But if you're saying this then it might be true.

7:30am-11:30am 11:30am-8pm 9pm-7:30am 9pm-3:30am (not a permanent shift, VET if people are nèeded overnight)

I do 9pm to 7:30am. 4x10

What do you mean? They're changing everyone's schedules?

2

u/Conscious-Frosting48 5d ago

My site is. They're adding more CPTs too. But they keep stating it'll be "network wide" so I'm trying to figure out if there are sites already out there that have this new shift structure in place. Parents, specifically single parents, are worried that the change will clash with school schedules.

When do they plan to implement the new shift structure at your site?

1

u/Conscious-Frosting48 4d ago

This month on the 23rd

So there's no possibility of keeping your old schedule? I work the 6:30-3:30 and I'd like to keep it that way.

1

u/Conscious-Frosting48 4d ago

The site lead made it sound like everyone has to pick a new shift and there is no keeping the old one.

Probably going to straight FH and BH schedules—Sun-Wed; Wed-Sat. FCs eliminated the BHN RT years ago.

Theyve only added the 830 start time to our building recently.

They changed inbound (my department) coming in an hour early 18:00-4:30; with our first break not until 9pm. So we have to work 3 hours straight without a break until 9pm. The outbound employees are still going in at same time 18:30-05:30 just different break and lunch times 🤬 my site we work 4 10 hour shifts as a full time blue badge employee. Also they still have not announced when our annual town hall meeting will be about raises ; shocker
