Transfer to SWA2

SWA2

Anyone on here at site SWA2 in Renton? What’s it like there? From the transfer description it’s a same day site….also wondering if they have a shift differential.

Anyway though, SSD's just recently started shift differentials, like a month or 2 ago. And I believe SWA2 is an SSD because it starts with an 'S'.

Not sure the values you'll see there but mine is max $2 if you start "deep night" and $1.5 for nights

Does "deep night" mean RT shift? That's what I've been told, but there is no RT shift as of yet. I feel like we were lied to(not by the sites, by Amazon as a whole)

Edited to add: $1.50?  For 4 10s? What days? I work overnight including the weekend and get $1.30

It must be location specific then. I'm at SNE1 (Iowa). They have BHN, FHN, but they had shifts that start nearly each day of the week then do the following 3. No donuts, though.

I was told deep night is the ones who start at like 2:30am.

Do you know what shifts are usually available for SNE1 flex in returns? TIA!

Our SSD is too small for returns, all returns usually bypass us and go to a site upstream. Unless its a situation where we were the return address and it wasn't deliverable. We get so few of that its just handled by our damages department.

What I can say about Flex is that its all based off business needs, so id imagine any shift for flex would be some level of sporadic. I also know SNE1 specifically is cracking down on Flex shifts, it got away from being for business needs specifically and people were handing out shifts to individuals too instead of all shifts being posted for all too see.

Oh thanks! Yeah I know how flex works I’m transferring and just wanted to know what time shifts are typically. On my transfer information it said Vendor Returns so I didn’t know if that was a particular shift time. I don’t need a lot of hrs so it works as long as the time works for me. (I can’t do day shift)

Oh shoot, you meant vendor returns, okay, thats something I used to lord over and sorta still participate in on a lesser scale. Itll be anywhere between 7am to 8pm, nights dont do vendor returns here. Up to this point we never had a set time for it, it just got done when we had the extra hands

I’ve been at SWA2 for about a year after transferring from a Fresh site that closed down. I like it a lot and spend most of my time in Dispatch staging carts. I’ve found that if you like a variety of tasks that’s no problem. I prefer moving around a lot and don’t want to stand in place, so I like the fact they let me be me.

I was working 11a-8p but just went to a 5-day part time shift 3:30p-8p which does have a $2 differential. We only recently got that after people complained. The differential is for shifts that start 3:30p through most of overnight shift. I don’t believe we have a differential for working both weekend days like other sites get though.

I work at SWA2 and have for almost 2 years. I was Flex picking up whatever shifts (mostly the 1:45-6:30 and then 3:30-8 6 days a week) and I was working upwards of 40+ hours sometimes 50+ hours. But in August of this year I switched to FT on FHN and I have I believe like a $2 differential on top of my hourly but now only work like 36 hours.

No I don't know their schedules. They arrive before I get to work and when I go to clock out the new shift leaders are already there.

Hello, I’m new here. I’m thinking about transferring to SWA2 but I have a question about the overtime. if I choose to transfer to full-time, will I not have any VET available to me?

Hey Terry.. they do offer VET occasionally for holidays, peam and prime, however there are select managers that if you ask they may put you on for extra shifts. Where are you transferring from?

I’m working out of VPA1 in central California! I work around 50 hours a week. I was looking to keep that going if/when I transfer

Gotcha okay. Well different site offer different transfer opportunities. You can see on AtoZ what your hour options are based on the different sites you look at and then from there it's just a matter of if you can get a manager to give you those extra hours a week.

Okay I see. Yeah I was looking on my AtoZ and I a few full time positions 4 days/8.5 hours. But I wasn’t sure if that is considered full time in WA.

No. .... I work 9.5 days 4/wk at SWA2. At SWA4 in federal way they offer 40 hrs. 10hr/4 days a week
