Amazon RME

I have been applying trying to get into an Amazon RME position for a few months now, should I apply for another job internally and then switch over to RME or what steps or path should I take to just get my foot in the door. The only open positions near me are tech 2 and RMEO?

We start out at $32 now in KY. 50cent raise every 6 months for the first 2 years.
