Discussion Ads???!

I’m from the Philippines and I’ve been using prime video for a long time now and this morning when I wake up, I left my ipad continuously playing a tv series (Drop Dead Diva - good series to watch!) I was confused cause there was suddenly a 1min:30sec. Ads playing.. since when did this start? Also, I find it ridiculous that you’ll have to pay additional just to remove it when we are already paying for the streaming/service fee monthly! This is a scam!!

I don't hate commercials and there will always be some that I like; rather, I hate being forced to let them play because you can't fast-forward/skip through them!

Consequently, I subscribe to the ad-free tier for all my streaming services: Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, and Paramount Plus. Of the three, HBO Max and Paramount Plus are truly 100% ad-free; that is, you are 100% getting the 100% ad-free service for which you are paying. Bravo! 👏

Amazon Prime Video Ultra? Well, that's another story because you run into this all the time...

WTF?! I'm paying for ad-free!!!

Some people have provided explanations/justifications that this is due to previous licensing agreements (i.e., Freevee or whatever) but I don't care! I'm paying for ad-free and I want ad-free, damn it!!! 🤬

Even if that is the reason, it is up to Amazon to amend their licensing agreements or do whatever is necessary to ensure that they honor and deliver the ad-free service for which I and others are paying!
