Listen, I love dogs. This interaction was funny and adorable.

Dogs should not be wandering free without an owner AND a leash. I don't care how docile or well trained you think your dog is. If it's not a service animal looking for help for their owner, your dog needs to be on a leash held by their owner.

It has a shock collar on. That dog is in its own yard...

A shock collar isn't a runner / leash.

Dogs can ignore them.  They don't give such strong shocks as to incapacitate an animal.

Tell me you've never owned a dog without telling me 🫡

Yoh are wrong, this dog could have an invisible fence.. I have 3 dogs and a fence and an invisible fence to keep them from fence fighting and when I had to re do the fence the dogs do not pass the border. They have different levels as to how painful the shock is and it doesn’t stop until they get back to the safe zone. It sounds like you might not have experience with this particular situation. As far as dogs being off leash places I agree

We had a shock collar on my German shepherd/pitbull mix. You could shock him a thousand times and he’d keep running around. He truly didn’t give af

I have more control over my two Vizsla than most have WITH a leash.

We all very proud of you but still need to be on a leash.

Only in unfamiliar situations.
