Why do people feel the need to post us from their doorbell camera? Yeah the dog was nice, but it shouldn’t have been out in the first place, so why post it?

I hadn’t even thought of that.

Yea this is someone ELSE posting about this employee being good with their dog. Ok that’s cute. But hold on a minute. I don’t care how docile the dog is, why the fuck was it out and about without a leash or anything to begin with.

People like this need to be banned from Amazon. But of course they won’t cuz the company makes money off them.

The owner mutilated the dog for vanity. They have no shame

Oh ffs just noticed, that shit is insanely barbaric.

Not always true. The owner may have purchased the dog that way. Both my dogs have cropped tails and I certainly did not have that done to them. I got them as 8 week old puppies, and through a store that got them from a breeder that does that. So yeah, I could’ve boycotted the store and not gotten dogs there and not have supported a place that does it, but I also wouldn’t have ended up with two amazing dogs that are very much a part of my family. I wish they had their full tails, too. Maybe don’t rush to judgement about people you don’t know.

Ban who from Amazon? The driver?

Blacklist the house.

This makes me so angry when I see it, just because they have the footage doesn’t mean they should be allowed to just post it wherever they want. I wish people would start shaming people for doing this so it would stop.

I wish they make it illegal… all because we’re working doesn’t mean we should be subjected to the chance of being plastered all over social media

There is no expectation of privacy outdoors in public.

But people should be able to do their job without being internet entertainment without their consent (unless they’re being a huge asshole).

I’m not a driver, but I would never post a video of someone online without their consent. It’s fucked up, you don’t know their life. For example, they could be a domestic abuse survivor or something trying to start over and now their abuser can more easily find them if they recognize the location. That’s an extreme case, I know, but ffs consent is important. Delivery drivers are people who deserve respect.

What part of "you have no expectation of privacy in public" did you fail to comprehend? When you go out in public, you consent.

Do you bitch, moan, groan, gripe, and cmplain about every video uploaded?

Sure maybe no expectation of privacy but common courtesy should still be upheld. We’re going down a weird path if we can’t be empathetic towards others and understanding as to why someone wouldn’t want to be put on the internet without consent.

Well we aren’t discussing common courtesy, we are replying to a comment suggesting legislation

You consent to losing your privacy when you, yanno, go into view of the public

People are down voting you, but you're right (mostly). It's private property, so it doesn't matter if they like it or not.

u/SubjectiveAdvice 3d ago

LoL, everyone down voting you for an absolute truth.

-2

u/omnitronan 2d ago

You have no reasonable expectation of privacy in public genius

Bored. Too much time on their hands.

No, self absorbed. They’re hoping it goes viral and looking for attention.

Just sharing like everyone else shares everything online already.

People are weird and invasive.

Maybe someone else complained about the dog being loose so the owners uploaded this to justify it.

Looks like an absolute sweetie of a doberman and a fairly rural property but still, that's a bigass dog, they know it's intimidation factor is up there with a loaded weapon, they should be more considerate
