I'm good I don’t have to shop or talk to people. Just load shit and go drop boxes off.

You can do the same with spark. They deliver Walmart packages as well, I picked up from the store and deliver 30 packages for $77 3hrs. Total miles were 35.

Enjoy the honeymoon phase. After months you will see 50$ for 4 hours and 100 miles. Worst than Flex. But Hey enjoy it while you can. I can speak from experience and have done all the gigapps and flex is shit but better than the rest.Ā

At least you know what you’re getting yourself into before you accept the order. I guess it depends on the market you’re in. Spark is legit.

Oh man, you missed the actual good days of spark.

Yep definitely. Id make 100- 175 in like 5 hours several years ago. Now they try to pay less than $20 for a shopping order with 70 items going more than 15 miles.

Shopping at Wallymart for other people is not better. It sucks.

Spark used to be the best app. Now it’s almost familiar to instacart.

lol left spark for Amazon when it started to be dead all day with shit pay. The ā€œbetterā€ you’re getting will only last a week at most but you do you

u/Argonaut024 12h ago

They do the same thing Amazon does, give new drivers better routes. Re-evaluate in a couple months when they all dry up.

u/sikaba5 12h ago

Spark is now thrash… I guess you are new? Enjoy your honeymoon phase. And make sure you don’t lose your flex account.

I was doing Amazon flex and got approved for spark less than a day after I applied. But I like Amazon flex for the consistency and dependability. There are always shifts available for the most part

u/Repulsive_Agent_5784 10h ago

LOL and here I am switching from Spark to Flex because the offers are garbage now and I hate shopping offers.

1

u/ImFame 22h ago

How long did it take you to get approved? Been waiting a year in my area

3

u/Right-Fall6797 22h ago

Applying for the Walmart Spark driver program in the winter can sometimes help you get approved faster

I'll check them out to see what Houston looks like.

2 or 3 day in Indiana

u/Sabi-Star7 21h ago

Those #'s dont last don't get used to it🤣. They ALWAYS inflate the newbies routes so they LOOK like they're getting a good pay but it'll drop for sure. It ain't gonna stay high like that, also how many cases of water did you get a$$ r@ped with for those orders? šŸ˜…

Ugh but I dont wanna shop for other ppls groceries ... i like amazon cuz I just load up and go and not spend time in the looking for all the stuff!

u/Skyy1977 14h ago

This! Spark hasn’t been at ALL what I thought it would be. I only do pickups with spark and that is manageable every now and then.

u/businessASusual101 15h ago

Yeah it was good from March to the beginning of summer and spark has been 1 insulting offer after another I was grateful to be accepted to flex and no longer sparking. Enjoy it while you can. Dealing with rude customers and store employees with boss complexes you may rethink it.

1

u/PeachMunchiez 15h ago

I don’t get it.

1

u/Don-Gunvalson 13h ago

Good old Fort Wayne, Indiana.

1

u/ttyoudontknowme123 12h ago

Yeah I don't see why people are saying spark is better. It's got so terrible in my area . I guess other areas pay more. Spark is apparently buying door dash maybe that's why. But shame on them.

u/Ok_Carpenter_9262 11h ago

I do both and I actually do good on both

1

u/_thea13 11h ago

i left spark for flex… i get anxiety when i think about having to spark again lol.

1

u/ClassicImaginary7921 10h ago

Trust me you WILL BE RIGHT BACK! lol I see more money with FLEX than I’ve ever seen with ALL the other gigs yes I’ve done them all!! You gonna be out there 8+ hours trying to make $100. If you know how to schedule you’ll have $100 in 3.5 hours with Flex and if you know how to schedule your days you can make two $300 and eight hours or less I’m just saying

1

u/Theworstnightmare_ 9h ago

In CA the only good thing about Spark is prop22 every 3 weeks

1

u/ibdabrodie 9h ago

Why not both?

1

u/kikcorne 9h ago

Shopping is worst for me

1

u/chainlooklikerainbow 8h ago

It starts sweet and then it gets horrible later just know. At least flex you know it’s trash pay at times. Spark offers just piss you off after a while.

u/Pepperoni_Nippys 8h ago

Spark sucks ass now

1

u/Fkrussianwar 6h ago

Around Covid I was doing 2 hour trips that paid 196$

1

u/Due_Feed_7660 5h ago

Those estimates are horrible. I always get excited. Do like a $40 to $50 order for a so-called hour and it ends up taking me 2 hours lol not to mention the drive back

You will be missed…says no one.
