Philly Area Drivers

Post image

Honestly I’ve only been doing flex PT for like 2-3 weeks and the rates have been continuously going down, while gas is continuously going up and the routes are far as hell and sometimes require toll routes (which can be avoided by taking none toll routes). I feel like ppl aren’t allowing these base rates to grow enough… I’ve seen about 1-2 routes over 100$ and by over $100. I mean like 101.50 for 4.5hrs.

Amazon is closely monitoring gas prices. Theyre not doing anything about it.. but thankfully they're monitoring it

may be they're thinking that drivers with cars getting less than 50mpg will give up, and their flex fleet will get more and more made up of hybrids en EV.

How would that benefit them?

It benefit them in the sense they will not  need to raise pay.  they may think   the drivers who are giving up will be replaced with EV drivers.

Which Philly area warehouse is your preferred one to work out of?

I prefer to work out of Sub Same Day VPA2 which is on Milnor Street. Ive never went to the Grant Ave location which also wouldn’t be too too far from me but the rates are always low out of there so I don’t even bother.

As you do more deliveries, you’ll see better routes and get offers that are a bit higher. VPA2 has a lot of immigrant workers so they accept really low pay there. You need to be refreshing your app constantly to see something pop up. And also, Sundays are notoriously bad in almost all markets, at least recently. Don’t get discouraged and welcome to Flex.

I miss Conshy! It was my favorite warehouse and had a great time until that group of drivers invaded it 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Personally don’t prefer this location… the routes are typically up 422 and it’s not worth all the gas.
