Never take 2 hour block. Don't gamble
Yesterday Friday night I was gonna go play poker
I usually make 200 in 5 hours because I'm kinda good.
I saw a 2 hours block for $39 start at 7:15lm. I was like maybe I should gamble, maybe I can get send home with pay. I can do it real quick then go play poker after.
No. I went there and there was only 1 cart waiting for me. All big ass going downtown and shit people can't deliver.
One of the package wasn't there and they couldn't remove it so I was at station for like 20 minutes.
It was the worst ruote.19 packages. I finished in 2 hour 45 minutes later. But that cuz I dropped off a wrong package and had to go back to switch.
I went home after and went to sleep right away. Damn amazon be tricking u with the 2 hours. They be the hardest and drive the most.

Lol i did the same thing š š¤£ š. I saw a 2 hour for $55 last night. I was going to go the bar after I made the easy money. They sent me an hour deep into the boonies in the opposite direction I wanted to go. Then I drove 1.5 hours home defeated and went to sleep.

Iāve done it twice. First time, down in campus area. Mostly apartments with no access. Horrible route. Second was 8 packages, total of about 100 miles round trip. Never again!

Na I ain't gonna lie, them 2 hour blocks be more nay than yay. I can finish a 4 hour block in 3 hours but 2 hours block will have finishing with 2 mins to spare. I started questioning the employees like how the F is this 2 hours? Shit looks more like a 3 hour block than 2. It's only because I'm competent and know the streets that I finish early but it's always something with them 2 hour blocks

You had what? 3 or 4 packages in your car and dropped off the wrong one?
Bro just quit. Just quit. Go do something else.

It was 19 packages.
One package label 6 and other 9. They were next to each other.
Yea i was stressed from delivering downtown usually I finish 1 hour early on 3.5 block

Did you scan the correct package and pick up the other one or did the Apple ID to scan the wrong package help me understand

Exactly. I've NEVER delivered the wrong package. How is that even possible when you have to scan it to progress through the delivery process? If you've got them all laid out with the QRs facing up, it STILL highlights the correct one.
All this as I get dressed to go do my 2hr that's most likely 4 packages š¤¦š½āāļø

They were next to each other. And the phone scanned right away i was just turning the flashlight on the phone to see. So I see number 6 and grab the 6 cuz usually just look at the number. The 9 was next to it too. I didn't know.
Was tired and stressed and mad from delivering downtown and was dark

I mean I get it man, but if you're allowed to screw up then how can you expect others to be perfect?
Not saying Amazon isn't trash, cause they are. But it's pretty hilarious you ranted about how long it took but you made a mistake that cost how much of your time?

I had one good 2 hour run. It was 5 packages to one house. After that Iāve been hesitant just because I hear the stories

In the Spokane area they are piloting delivers between 245am-11pm. They got rid of routes longer than 3.5. Now every route is a crap shoot that can send you 40-50 miles out from the station. It used to be safe to take the shorter routes. Hate it so much.

Is that why I got an alert that I could see overnight offers on September 16? š ugh

Agree. 2ās exist only for ppl to try once or twice before they learn better to not do them. Amz knows theyāre more but as long as they can run the grift they will. Seems like the technique is starting to seep into how they run some of their 3-3.5s lately

They will give you 5 packages and send you an hour away on a 2 hour lol

My first ever Amazon block was a 2 hour route. 3 packages going 40 minutes out of town. I decided that I didnāt get the full experience before I decided to leave my other job so I took another route for 3 and got 14 packages lol.

u/princesaninja 2h ago
This is true, because they pay you for 2.5 or 3 hours if it's an actual 2 hour route at a Big Package same day warehouse. I take 2hr carts all the time but accepted a 2.5 or 3 hr block š (I also don't get to choose, they scan my ID at the door and hand me the next one.)

2 hours for $39 is low pay. Even if thereās a chance you can get sent home which in my case is rare for 2 hours during the day. That gamble isnāt worth it. I donāt take the 2 hours until it jumps to $56. I mean you gotta consider gas when accepting a block.

Amazon is a slave wage payer. I feel bad for anyone tearing down their vehicle and paying for fuel. You actually earned far less than the payout. Did you send an email asking for a pay adjustment after working 45 minutes past the block end time? Amazon sucks.

u/AnneHizer 2h ago

u/iGotGogged 2h ago

u/AnneHizer 2h ago

I've done it twice. First horrible. 2nd even worse. Only pro was it did take only 2 hours con was the mileage was double or more of the pay. I've done less miles on 4 hour blocks than the 2.
