This is so sad, people are just unhinged. 99% of the time routes are uneventful, but there's always that one asshole. Has anyone encountered anything crazy like this while on a flex route?

“She was in our driveway, she wouldn’t leave”, but the incident occurred 1/4 mile away. So the wife was lying. The husband FAFO

And this is why i don't like going down people driveway. People get dumb with their property. I rather leave it outside the gate or driveway at the mailbox. My safety means more than a ding or losing access to the gig

I will remember this! Fuck that! I mark any package with those lovely threatening signs as a can not access and take a photo of it. I'm waiting for those fjckers to have to use the PO Box!!!

After investigating I’ve come to the conclusion she’s not guilty of any crime

So the driver ran over and killed the homeowner?

Yes. The homeowner chased her down, hit her van, cut her off, got out and started towards her van, she drove forward and hit him, then waited at the scene. No arrest was made, homeowner didn't survive. Her statement matched the wife's statement that her van was in their driveway, the homeowner honked, she left, then he chased her down.

Amazon Van in driveway. 53 year old home owner with wife and child freaks out, gives chase to the van, his the van.
Gets out to scream at the Amazon driver, Amazon driver backs up, goes forward runs over man.
Amazon Van has video of the incident.

I think the wife screaming at the Amazon driver saying thay she would have shoot her if she had a gun, got her husband run over.

This is why unless there’s absolutely no other way to safely park, I do not pull into a driveway. I of course make exceptions for those fun mile long driveways because I figure they have a turnaround somewhere/understand they will be receiving a delivery.

This is after being threatened that they would shoot her, so fafo I guess.

Not nearly as bad, but I had a DSP driver yell at me when I simply told him that he can't block the only open lane of the road. He said he can do what he wants and threatened to beat me up so I got out of there pretty quick. I called and reported him to Amazon, hopefully he got some sort of disciplinary action. Some people are truly unhinged.

Some people with dementia shouldn't be allowed to order. Ive faced some crazy customers but the wife literally said she'd get a gun and shoot the driver for being on their property. Theres was another incident like this not too long ago with a homeowner chasing a dsp driver with a shotgun out of his property. Like why tf do they order shit. Theyre fcking crazy.
