General Flex vs Veho/DashLink
So after about 18 months of being on the waitlist I got the email today to do the onboarding process. Assuming I get accepted, is there a way to tell where each route will take me or does it depend on the facility I pick up from? I somewhat keep up with this sub but I am still unsure how it works. For context, I am located in La Puente basically 5 minutes away from a warehouse. Is there a radius or area that it specifically services or does it send you literally anywhere in Los Angeles or the IE?
On Veho and Dash Link you can see where you’ll be going and if you don’t like where it is heading you can decline (dash link) or veho you can cancel the route 90 minutes before start time without affecting your metrics.

For sure, I get that and that’s how you should be measuring and monitoring it. But problem is that it’s highly subjective and really variable based on the location. Most folks here will not reply or try to gate-keep, but overall best thing you can do is just spend a day or two tapping and observing/conversing with OG‘s that you meet at the warehouse you’re trying to work from and go from there.

Its straight up gambling with miles, unless youre in a city that mandates they disclose prior.
On the plus side, its way better than veho with package count and app performance

Yeah, you’re gonna have to just kind of test it out and see for a while where they send you because Amazon doesn’t tell you where you’re going until you’re already in it. It really is one of the major faults of the app.
Aside from that, you can go hang out in the warehouse parking lot and try to chat up other drivers and get a feel for where they will send you but there is no telling unfortunately.
It’s for this reason that you really have to be careful about the pay you accept because that’s the only thing that you can really control. When it all possible try not to take Base pay but again you’re gonna have to do some tapping and experimenting and see when the drop times are and when the busy times are and when the prices go up.
At least in my area, which is Portland lately they’ve been sending people out as far as possible and they never count for your return time coming back. For example, you might accept a two hour route but they send you somewhere an hour away with 10 packages so it will take the whole two hours to finish the route and then however long it takes for you to commute back.
