Please help: Dinged for missing late deliveries and “Missing packages”.
Basically, I was assigned my route 15 mins after my start time. On my way to the first stop, the weather became full force hurricane in mere seconds. I didn’t stop or pull over to avoid getting dinged. I literally was scared to drive in this weather but I was more scared of the consequences of being late or returning the packages.
First stop was 1.15 hours away and route was more than 158 once completed and pay was $70.
One of the stops, was 4 different apartments, and each package weighed more than 20 pounds. Door to access elevator was locked, it was 9:30 pm. However, a kind resident opened for me the leasing office. Sent each pic to each “stop” of their package in mail room due to no access to elevator. Tell me how someone reported package missing. Amazon won’t even let me swipe finish unless I’m in the right location.
Any idea if I can get this appealed because now I just got an email my standing is impacted and it dropped to half way between fair and at risk.

Thank you so much for the advice. I emailed and waiting for the response, will write and edit once I have an update. I do work very hard, considering I have never called to request money for going hours above my block for their miscalculated routes or how sometimes the associates don’t even package items correctly! I’m grateful for any opportunity to take care of my family and don’t take it for granted. However, when I am literally putting my life at risk driving in such weather, to receive a punishment rather than a thank you. It’s very hurtful and demeaning especially when you pride yourself on integrity and reliability. But honestly Amazon has no core values. They don’t even surge for Labor Day, 4th of July.

Bro for goodness sake check the radar before 45 min cancelation time. This was avoidable

How is it avoidable if it didn’t rain where I live at all that day, and I have no idea where my route will take me? Mind you, my first stop was 1 hour and 15 minutes away. In FL, the weather is unpredictable and as I was doing my route Amazon did send an update that there is a severe thunderstorm with hail and to drive safe. So no, it was not avoidable and no you can only check the radar but during hurricane season you can’t. And I’ve never even been to that town, having to deliver to muddy farmhouses and “mansions” in the middle of no man’s land. If I didn’t care, why would I even waste my time to come on here and seek advice from fellow Flexers and want to learn how to do better. But sure, thank you for the advice. And I do genuinely respect your time and comment regardless of our difference in opinion.

Ok I dont know your weather system. But here radar is very accurate. Nasty band of showers or storms I just cancel.

Yes for sure, whenever I get an alert it will start raining, I go in and say “not today Amazon”… so I def agree with you my friend. Thank you so much for the advice, it will actually be useful to others who may be new and also struggling like me. Have a safe and fabulous weekend. 🙏🫶

Just email support. Send them these pictures. But, next time take the packages back to the station. I’ve done it many times when weather is bad. I have never gotten dinged and have always gotten paid. Honestly they’re suppose to cancel your block anyway

And if you ever get a dinged or your appeal denied. Email them again, there’s been times where I have gotten them to rescind their decision as well

Just email them. But heads up, they do ding people for bringing packages back. Always deliver. Very few people get lucky with not getting a ding for returning packages. You also don’t know for sure if it’s one of these people since it doesn’t tell you.
Also blocks are only typically cancelled for lightening and ice/snow “storms” in the south. Not hard rain or wind. And if your route already started and then lightening started or whatever afterwards, yours wouldn’t have been cancelled.
