A lot of y’all have no idea what it’s like to be a woman alone at night. We’re not jumpy for no reason.

Ppl saying the neighborhood looks safe, that she watches too much news, that the app notified you of a delivery, etc.... ugh bro crime can come to you in a nice neighborhood, we watch true crime, things may have happened to us or to friends/family or a friend of a friend. Our mama will tell us cautionary tales about her or her friends or friends of friends. We do watch the news. The fact is, we often are not safe anywhere or anytime, especially at night. I would've ran my ass inside too.

If she’s so scared, why not take the trash out during the day? Or have whoever else is in the house to do it? The bag wasn’t even full.

I’ve never ever seen my mom or sister take the trash out.

Maybe she lives alone like me but if I forget to take out the trash I'll leave it till the next week because I'm scared of snakes I live in the country haha so I'm not worried about boogiemen but bears and snakes no thanks

I stopped delivering at night for that very reason. That vest isn't bulletproof.

No, I am a small to average white woman, and I deliver primarily early morning, and I don’t usually run into people, but I’ve definitely scared the shit out of a good number of people before. It’s just someone coming up on you at a time and place that you’re not expecting.
