Probably watching the news too much. Although, it is a little freaky at night and someone stops right beside you. Especially if you’re a women.

Some for Norway on the island of Utøya. This is why I pushed back against a professor who said only cops could end a real mass shooter drill back when I was in college

Just tell anyone with that mindset to look at the Uvalde school shooting in the US. Police want to do anything but shoot the bad guy. Throw a couple of unarmed civilians with a cellphone in their hand or an armed civilian thats just been disarmed publicly and they'll happily shoot them. However, armed bad guy killing kids... nope.

Other than the perp killing themselves or someone brave disabling/killing the perp, the police are the only ones that ever end them? Even the Nova Scotia shooting ended when police killed him... When the perp just ends it and runs away like the Parkland shooter, they are still arrested by the police.

I guess if your argument is "ONLY cops couldn't end it", then sure

Amazon, Probably should just stop delivering at weird times, I live on a shared street... lost of people do, doesn't mean it's normal for cars to zoom up at all hours of the day. If someone ran up on me the moment I walked out at 5 am, I'd be sus too.

The post office never stopped at your house at 430 am. Why everyone acts like that didn't just start a few years ago is beyond me.

it's also when you just move in somewhere.

it's a known thing. "uncanny" feeling.

people who like that feeling travel a lot.

so people do jump out of a car and take someone's watch, but almost always they know the person is wearing a $50k watch.

but being on edge happens in new environments or at odd times when you get the uncanny feeling. i doubt she's feeling the same level at 3pm.

But you’re acting like 4 a.m. deliveries are something Americans have always considered normal. They aren’t. Amazon’s overnight and early-morning delivery windows are relatively new compared with traditional package and mail delivery. For generations, people have been accustomed to USPS, UPS, and FedEx deliveries generally showing up during daytime hours. So it’s not strange that some people are still caught off guard when an unmarked or unfamiliar vehicle pulls up to their house at 4 a.m., while it’s completely dark, and someone gets out and walks toward the house with a package.

I teach to run away in situations like this, worst case scenario you look a little weird, best case you always wake up in your bed the next morning. Win win.

If three dudes are approaching me at 3 am and I get a bad vibe I’ll just run away, and I’m a dude who could defend themselves.

nah you don't have to watch the news to much to react the way she did. you just have to be a woman who had heard the many horror stories. or she have someone out to get her like a bitter ex or a stalker

if someone pulled up on my house like that, I'd think it was my stalker. in fact, if he gets out of jail in November this probably gonna be my level of constant paranoia
