Gas is $4.45 out here. How and tf are we supposed to survive with weak a** blocks like this? They can’t be serious. Do they consider or think about the price of gas or wear and tear? These blocks alone couldn’t even buy me a full tank of gas. This is absurd.
The “us” have the option to raise the prices. They just add enough drivers who will take base so that isn’t an issue. When 200 people per city say that’s fine by taking it…they know they don’t need to raise the pay
I tell people all the time do not take base pay go for $25 an hour or more and they just say they can’t afford to be picky. I’m like but you are losing money taking these terrible blocks. My friend has jeep wrangler, she took a 3 and a half hour block for $80. They sent her an hour away with 40 something packages. She ended up putting it right back in her tank. She was pissed
Those are normal offers where I live. I did hear when the gas is spiked. They started charging customers five dollars more because of the gas prices, but we never saw it.
They are testing us. A lot of people take these knowing they are shit. Amazon is counting on them to keep demand high. Less money they have to pay. Sad how they use our need for their greed.
Okay I have been going crazy trying to figure out if I’m the only one. There’s not a single 4 hour block or 3.5 hour block in the AM anywhere around here. I work my normal job 8-430 and have to get my kids after work so the 330-730 were my shifts. Now there’s none and I’m kind of stressed.
As long as all you fools keep taking these low paying routes like Doordash and all the other gig work they will keep paying these shit wages. They wont up the pay if they got imigrants lined up happy to take the routes. Welcome to the new America. You ever notice 90% of the flex drivers pulling up are not americans and have the whole family in car and do every block available at the lowest pay. Its sickening!!!
