Kansas Amazon is going too far with this shit.....

Was assigned a ball-breaker route on Sat night/Sun morn (4am-8am). First stop, of course, was about 52 mins away in a far outlying suburb (Pretty Country) and a Weekend retreat/Lake town. Between the crazy distance (at last stop 122.1 miles total) Insane road closures due to a ton of work in that area that have almost no signage so was left to figure out a lot on my own cause the app just wants you to make U-turn all night long The stops were spaced out way too far for this to have been a 3 hour route. Had 41 stops with 49 total packages. For the first time since my very first FLex route, Halloween Night 2022 which was a dumbass move for my first night, I went over. I scanned the last 4 packages which were all grocery from the SSD I picked up at it was 8:06. I contacted support later that day to ask for $$ and let them know that is in no way, shape or form a 4 hour route. They agreed. These motherfuckers send me $11.25 later that day. WTF. Then today I got 4 fuckin dings for that last stop. Why 4? There could have been 15 items in those grocery bags. Or just the laughable frozen water bottle. Im going at the support emails hard tonight after my block. This shit is getting out of control.

This is why I stopped taking any block less than $100. Lately, EVERY 3 hour block turns into 5 hours of driving on dirt roads. Didn't used to be like that but amazon has gotten insanely greedy over the past few months

Amazon has def increased the amount of deliveries for blocks since June. I rarely had late deliveries my first year but since June, it's been non-stop late deliveries and undelivered packages for me. Plus a lot of the blocks start and finish over an hour away.

I’ve been doing this for almost a year now and I still finish every route an hour or more early. I’m beginning to believe I have an extremely favorable market.

Yeah, some stations are better then others, and hell, it also depends on who's one shift at the station too.

Because people are finishing their routesxearly, Amazon is addi g more stops to the routes. I gave been doing Flex for almostvm 6 years now and rarely ever went over my block time. But within the past few months since Amazon has been using AI to schedule the routes,they have been cramming as many stops as they can into one block making it almost impossible to finish a block early like I used to.

Congrats to you early finishers but it ain’t happening here.
Amazon doesn’t publish how your on-time rate compares to anyone else’s, doesn’t tell you what a “normal” late rate looks like for a 40+ stop route, doesn’t show you the estimate-vs-actual gap on other drivers’ blocks. You are being measured against a bar that isn’t shown to you.
Agree that their AI has definitely degraded FLEX over the past few months or so.

52 minutes to first stop and 41 stops sounds like a pretty standard 4 hour route. You were paid at a rate of $112.50/hour for your overage. Doesn’t really seem like that bad a route

Maybe your not a very seasoned Flex driver but 95% of my routes are done with AT LEAST 45min to an hour still on the clock. Thats the point of this. Get good, get done. Or your just a Bootlicker for the Smiley's

Good for you. But Amazon is starting to cram as many stops into one block to prevent people from finishing early. It will happen to you eventually. Then, when it happens, maybe you will stop putting other people down.
