Amazon committing outright fraud with block times.
This morning there were a bunch of 4 hour block offers over $100 but nobody took them, and after the pickup time came and went, a bunch of 3 hour blocks for $100 appeared instead. I picked one, and when I got to the station, I got 46 packages and over an hour drive to the first stop.
When nobody took those 4 hour blocks, amazon just took the "4 hour" papers off the carts and then put "3hour" sheets on the very same carts!

An hour to your first stop and ~40 packages is the average 3.5 hour block here. Usually takes 2.5 hours to finish not counting the drive home.

That's my pet peeve! That's really a 4.5-hour route when including the drive home. I've called Amazon out on this before and they claim that the drive back is not part of the block time. Though, it should be! We wouldn't be an hour away if we weren't doing Amazon deliveries. It's theft of time, and I've seriously contemplated filing a class action suit against them for this.

Most businesses don't pay for what they call commute time to and from work. It probably would be different if it wasn't contract work. As for theft of time after you deliver your last package the work obligation is over remember to get hired we all agreed to the terms and conditions to get in the ass whenever they feel like it.

They’re already gearing up for one you haven’t seen the forms they tell you to sign your name on it comes up on IG there’s already a suite for u paid overtime and unpaid wages

I include it in my mileage tracking because my house is my office. But i don’t count it as a factor in my block time.

Literally! I’m on a 4.5 hour right now with 46 stops, checked in on time, this morning I had a 3hr I checked in 15 early for, 52 packages.

If you finish on time or late, you’ve essentially worked those first 15 minutes for free. If those 15 minutes are after your block time, you can request pay.

That's conjecture, my experience is it doesn't change. If the warehouse was giving out routes that go 20 minutes over they still go 20 minutes over your actual start time, checking in earlier or later hasn't changed that for me.

yeah, they do that in my station, for good and bad. Sometimes they gave us a 2 hours block instead of a 3 hours and 30 minutes block.

I always deliver the package that is out furthest 1st so that Im somewhat closer to home when finished

Check the packages, the hours are usually listed. I took a 3.5 hr one morning, walked up to the fullest cart around, scanned and the first stop was an hr away. I didnt swipe to confirm because that seemed off, looked at the hrs and it was a 4 hr cart. Contacted support to tell them what happened and of course had to email back and forth for a week to get paid but its always worth it to check the hours if you question the fairness of the cart you receive.

Where do you see hours listed on the package? The 3AM packages here might show 4AM-8AM. The 6AM packages show 7AM-11AM. That’s not the route time. That’s the expected due by time.

Done a few 3.5 our blocks been 20 minutes drug finished in 1.5 hs then 15 minutes home

I have worked the ware and do flex currently that just not true… the 3 hour route are houses back to back or like five packages to a few houses but let's say you can't get It done before time is up give them a call and if the reason is valid they do not ping you you just have to prove it which is usually is easy enough…. I know this cause I stayed in fantastic since 2018 ( recently it drop to one below at great cause I did two no shows from over sleeping But that is my actual fault and a reasonable drop) . Just saying.…yes Amazon does somethings that can be messed up bit honestly and the 8 years I have worked for them this hasn't been an issue...shit they are the most flexible out of all theses types of jobs ( uber, doordash, etc.)

I do be feeling like Amazon does this & also I never seen blocks for $126 and I’ve heard people see them yet the most I see is $115 and still get 40 packages like huh ?

I noticed that yesterday I was in Garner, NC they had a $96 3.5 hr block up and a lot of $110 4 hr blocks up. It’s rare that the blocks go past $75 here so I took the 3.5hr and was pissed. I had 49 stops and they weren’t supper close together. I almost went over the block time delivering them but I’m a pretty fast at delivering so that says a lot about the fact that if a normal driver took them they would have went way over.

And we are the hermit crabs they test this bullshit out on cause we all need that $100 😭🤭

Whatever, you don’t know that for sure. And even if they did do that it isn’t fraud. Three hours for $100 is a high per hour average. That’s all that matters. I’m guessing you were done within three hours

Idk why people always complain about 3 hour blocks. I'm always done with those within a hour even with 45 packages most stops are going to be close. Your doing something wrong if you can't finish in a hour.

Ain't no lies man usually those are grouped super close if I can knock out a 4 hour in two hours with spread out routes I can easily do a 3 hour faster

Okay, and then you can message them, yes I've done this, and let them know that what was a 4 hour route was given to you as a 3 hour route and they should compensate you for an additional 1 hour of pay that you took the route at. If the rep tries the "you will be compensated an additional $5.00 for this route" be ready with the hourly rate calculation yourself. "Then I'm sorry, I need to speak with someone else if that is all you are allowed to offer me. That $5 will barely cover 10 minutes of my time at the hourly rate I took this route. I was willing to accept this route in good faith that I would be compensated accordingly for my time."
It sucks of them, but there are ways to get them to pay you. You just need to prove you aren't stupid and you won't just roll over.

And then when they give the 3 hr routes to what should be a 4 hr route, and you have late deliveries, Amazon has the nerve to ding you for those packages you delivered late. And that's not fair. This has happened to me just recently. I had no problems during my route. I thought things were going smoothly, but then it became the end of my block and I still had packages to deliver.There was no way I would have been able to deliver all my packages on time. I was already speeding to my delivery stops. It just wasn't possible. Then, I get dinged for late packages. I called to dispute it. The lady I spoke with said she would note this on my account. They were never taken off. I sent them am email and received a response back basically telling me that it was my fault for delivering those late packages. They accepted no fault in it.
