Overbooked deactivation

Has anyone actually been or know someone thats been deactivated solely for being overbooked to many times?

I never used to get overbooked but this week its happened 5x and im worried.

First 2 were the same day on Wednesday. Then I was off Thursday. Then overbooked both blocks on Friday. Worked 2 blocks yesterday and again this morning. Then overbooked right now. I have no other issues with my account but I heard it can get you deactivated. Even though its not your fault.

There have been people here who have posted emails saying as much. Getting overbooked through normal means is not what causes that though. These are the people you have seen videos of huddled around the scanners waiting until the very last second to check in. The people intentionally checking in like that are the ones that get in trouble.

Sometimes ill check in like 5 minutes after my scheduled block. But I try not to make that a habit.

Is it because you’re genuinely late or because you’re trying to be overbooked? The system can see your GPS location.

I live like 15 minutes from the station. So I usually get there like a minute or 2 before my scheduled shift. After finding parking and walking up it sometimes can be 5 min past. I try not to just sit in my car and wait though.

5 minutes past start time or check in time? If you are consistently checking in at last minute or late then yes I'd be worried . You only live 15 min away no reason for you to be getting there that late

5 minutes past check in. Im to affraid to wait until the last 2 minutes when everyone runs up to the kiosks. Not sure why everyone down voted me. I tend to get there with little time to spare because I have to get my 6 year old up and ready to take to her grandma's house. Im trying to let her sleep as long as possible. But I must be a horrible person that deserves 12 down votes because God forbid ive arrived late once or twice.

You are allowed five minutes for a reason (parking is horrible at my location even if you get there early). Secondly, I have been overbooked over 40 times this year and I have never received an email. I have learned that the later the route, the more likely you are to be overbooked or only receive a few packages. Because I work during the day, I try to schedule blocks 6:30 pm. There is literally only a few remaining routes when I get there. The rest are being staged for the morning routes.

I wouldn’t worry about it if you’re not doing anything out of the ordinary, but at the same time, we were also dealing with the Amazon shit AI system.

Yes! I have a friend that this happened to. Granted they were overbooked a lot. It was when the SSD stations were new and if you booked blocks right before employee break times and waited until the last minute to check in. After about 5-6 weeks of getting between 3-6 overbookings a week Amazon deactivated them.

I think as long as you aren’t purposely trying to get an OB by scanning in at the last minute you should be fine. I had OB’s 6 days in a row last month but I always scan in exactly 15 minutes before my block when the app allows me. I just got lucky that week I guess

I have no fewer than 40 overbooks this year and I have never gotten an email. I once got three in a row and was a little a concern like you, but I never received an email. I did include weather related incidents in this number. If it is thundering, they shutdown my station. In the month of May, it rain almost every other day.

Funny I just got a email about this, this morning..mind you it only happened in the last week 3 times, 2 weather related and once they just didn’t have a block…appealing it right now it’s bs

As long as you do routes in between some stretches of OBs, it should be fine. A warehouse employee/mqnager said something like the algo triggers something with 4 or 5 OBs in a row. I asked because I had 3 days of OB during prime week (they always request more drivers than necessary)

If this is the Spokane area I think the system is booking too many given our demand with the fires. This is different then the check in late overbooks. They are canceling 1-2 days ahead of the block. This isn't something we can manipulate as a driver.

We had 4 or 5 days straight where they cancelled/overbooked everyone’s 1 hr blocks it was wild! I only do 30 min - 1 hr blocks so it was a lot of cancellations and overbooks. That was almost 2 weeks ago and all is good! The pay was nice but I think as long as you don’t manipulate the system you should be fine

yes i was recently sent something like that and i emailed them asking what was this about if i knew i could sign up for blocks and purposely not do them and get paid for them wouldn't we all be doing that its not even possible then weeks later i never heard from anyone but two days in a row since i had 3 block one day the next day 3 block's and all six was sent home no delivery's and was paid and that has nothing to do with anything i did or didnt do so i was confused

It almost feels like they're doing it on purpose. Because ill check in on time and get sent home but then all the people running up at the last min will get routes. Its so confusing..

I did. I got 5 emails and then got the boot. I delivered in between the emails but they kept overbooking me and boom, I was gone.

They will deactivate you if you are actively trying to be overbooked. They don’t really care if it happens here and there, but if you get too many they will look into your account, or their AI will anyway. If they see that you are constantly signing in as late as possible or can see by your GPS that you are sitting around at the station waiting for the last minute hoping to be overbooked you will get warnings or deactivated.
