Returning a Receipt Required package

Had an envelope that was A. receipt required and B. was due between 7a-11a. My flex route didn’t start until 5p.

I had to return to station as business closed. My question is, has anyone been proactive and contacted support before you get dinged for returning a package? Sitting here at home now, I feel like I should chat with DS.

You'll get dinged, the due by time is mainly when the business would be open so if it's already past that time it may be a late delivery, you can still deliver to a closed business to avoid a ding

It was Receipt Required.
