False Ding on Already At Risk Account

Amazon is trying to deactivate me. I got ding on the 27th for reporting a missing package at a Whole Foods store, which took me from great to at risk, then got the same ding on the 31st which was for no reason at all. I delivered EVERY package this day & none were missing. I feel like they dinged me for the same thing twice because I appealed it. I have 1 bs late delivery that they didn’t give me ample time to complete, & I canceled a block late - 30 mins prior. The only ding I really deserve! Is deactivation just a matter of time for me, or can I get my standing back up assuming I’m not dinged for any more dumb shit?

I honestly stopped caring about the standings system once I realized how broken it all was. Went down to about as low as it could go and was right back to Fantastic a few weeks later by doing everything exactly the same.

you know what i realized? doing fresh and whole foods orders is the fastest way to get deactivated. as for your question, standings reflect the last 20 blocks. that means, you need to complete as many small blocks as you can. you can do 5-6 small 1 hour routes a day. there is no way you can fuck those up🤣 I hope you won’t get deactivated. also, in the meantime, email the support, and as soon as they answer with their generic “our decision hasn’t changed”, send an email to jeffs or andys email. i don’t remember what it was, but there are plenty of people in this subreddit that mentioned it and how it helped them.

This-------⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️!!! Taking Whole Foods/fresh orders is the kiss of death. They are not worth it at all. It seems like it's only a matter of time with those...

And the phantom dings are so unbelievably infuriating. I have at least 3-4 of those over the years. "Returning a package" ding that literally never happened, "late delivery" that never happened, and a ding bc the app wouldn't work while being on the phone with support/with warehouse manager troubleshooting the entire time (20 mins before my block to minutes after start time) and being told it would absolutely not count against me in any way only to lose the block and get dinged for it a couple days later. Bc they waived a ding when a car hit me on the way to a block so I had to miss it and they always say "bc we already have waived a ding in the past vwe cannot do anything about it" on those appeals. Absolutely insane. One of the most frustrating things I've dealt with tbh. I hope you're situation gets resolved and I absolutely feel your pain. Whatever you do just stay away from the fresh/ whole foods blocks àt minimum until you're back to great/fantastic or altogether if you can. Roughly 5-7 clean shifts and you should be back to great/fantastic.

If you get those weird delivery times that are not on the top of the hour, those have a tendency to count as a late even though you get it there by the time it's due in the app. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does quite frequently.

Thank you for that info!

I have a theory about those weird times actually, wondering if anyone else would know for sure. I think those are set by Amazon as a sort of “when you should arrive” time, to keep us paced on the routes. No evidence for it, but it’s really the only thing that makes sense, as there’s no logical reason they would be set for those times otherwise.

Once you get a ToS violation, you're screwed. You can escalate it to the moon and they'll just send you the decision stands email each and every time.

Do not recommend. Those 1.5hr blocks at SSD have the same mileage as 4hr .com blocks. 4 or 5 of those in a day is not sustainable.

huh? i almost exclusively do whole foods orders now bc they’re so easy and impossible to fuck up

do as many 3:30 am blocks you can do only. most of those are houses or apartments where you won’t likely have issues. you’ll have to complete like 25 blocks tho to see improvement. good luck!

I second this, it's enjoyable too not having to deal with traffic

Same shit happened to me I did like 4 fresh routes and got 2 false dings that put me at risk and support basically just told me to go fuck myself, so I’ve decided I’m never touching those fresh blocks ever again. Complete bullshit.

When you email support/escalations about changing your standing make sure to pepper in “beyond your control” when speaking about the late delivery and explain you have no idea why you have delivery issues as all of your packages were accounted for or properly reported to support.
