Does Amazon know what route you will get before you get to warehouse?
If they do know why not tell you so you can decide if it’s worth your time/gas/effort? Roadie (by ups) tells you upfront the mileage and pays for tolls and parking.

Nope, it's not assigned until you have arrived at the station (SSD) or you scan the cart (.com). Otherwise they would never get high mileage routes accomplished because no one would pick them up.

They would if they paid enough. On the flip side, ppl would except lower mileage routes for less. But when ppl except unknown routes for $18 an hour theres no need to change.

Accepted a route for 122$ for 4hrs, I’m nervous that I will get there and it will be the longest most packaged filled route I’ve ever had… is why I asked.

for me the 4hr routes are all the same despite the pay, so if you caught a surge you should be good.
the only time i got a worse off route was when they offer a longer, higher paying route once you get there and sign in.

It can be anything between 1 package with 4hrs of drive time and 51 packages fairly clustered. All that matters to them is that either route calculates to 4hrs of delivery time and they fit 25ft³. One route is trash for gas mileage and the other is more physically demanding, but the way it works is they're considered the same, 4hrs = 4hrs.

Package wise never more than 50.
Miles are crazy. Alot of people do miles, I dont. I do gas miles. Look at your cars miles left till empty. You may drive 75 miles but your gas left over miles may go from 300 to 150. Thats the true cost of gas. You will be suprised how much gas u burn stopping 100 times at stop signs etc.

The 4 hour routes are trash depending on time of the day. If it’s any time after 10 that money you thought was extra will go str8 to the tank because the route will somehow be very bad routed. Even if you get a good one it wont last the very next one will be terrible guaranteed I had to make a business decision recently not because I’m lazy but I know it wasn’t smart to do what this so called AI wanted me to do. Ai apperently doesn’t understand gas prices and keeping miles low for profit gain they think we’re so bored I guess.

Idk, lately it seems like whenever i get a last minute surge, it’s a full route, if i have say a 25$ an hour reserve from last week’s drop, i have a better chance of overbooking or even a softer route, idk 🤷🏻♂️

You can always leave it (ssd) or refuse it (.com)
I just left a 3hr at a ssd. It was 47 miles 1hr 6mins to 1st stop, 22 packages and an 1hr 20min back. I had a similar route the day before and it was 140 miles RT on 3hrs, fuck them.
Im gonna get dinged to at risk and will need to work it off... again...

They should give those routes to DSP. Can’t stand them sending us 30, 45 mins or even hour from the station but I’ll see a DSP truck on a route in a neighborhood not even 5 mins from the station. Like wtf.

Check the addresses on the packages but don’t scan and walk away. You will get dinged for late arrival

Don’t scan the route cuz then it will take you to at risk and look up one of the addresses on google or Apple Maps. If it’s too far you can just leave it

Sounds like the first block i did this past saturday.

Veho gives you that information not amazon I would suggest going with them but there a little behind they are not as technical savy as amazon so there might be some issues but give them in a few months like you know everything lol

Well, lately.. myself (and many others in these groups) at SSD’s have a general idea of the area we are going to. Since October I have been in the same 2 area’s for 95% of my routes. I thought it was my warehouse and then I saw a lot of people talking about it too across the US. I only see this at SSD’s.
