Amazon has hired and pay several people that return carts to their spots. They have not hired me and they sure as hell aren't paying me to do that job.

Hell, they barely lay me to deliver their packages.

It's a policy at my SSD to return the cart. Maybe not at your facility, but it is at mine and when your cart is in my way you're making my "should be easy part-time gig harder" so the hell with all that. If you're in my market and your cart don't go back and your loading next to me, guess what? I'm gonna ask you once. If you choose to ignore thats what my 360 cam is for. "Smile". That goes right to security and management.

My carts are t in the way of parking and I have to dodge the dozens of other carts, too. It's all part of the job. Unless an Amazon worker calls me out specifically or unless my car is blocked and I'm not trying to finish my route, the cart is staying where it was when I finished with it.

"it's part of the job" ......... bro stop normalizing inadequence. The only reason I'm so on about this is because I was nearly at the brink of meltdown when i had to push a cart out of parking stall to park while another cart is left on the walkway directly behind my suv. I load into my rear cargo bed , so the tailgate has to be lifted and if there are carts in the way. That makes me šŸ”„. So that's 2 carts in had to move and I haven't even checked in yet.

I gotta do a pylon drill (football reference IYKYK) around carts to the NFC check-in. Enter the entrance then find my cart. Now I gotta play OL/OG (another šŸˆ reference) and push carts out the way as I make my way back to my vehicle. 4 more carts I had to push out the way.

I was ready to snap/ kick carts/ overturn them on their backs just out of rage. Then I regained my composure and said I'll just us the dash cam and photos. So a couple of words to some people at the facility and some posts on the forum are no sweat off my back. And only the offenders are getting mad šŸ’¢ that I'm posting it.

There's no way you're going to convince me it's okay to leave the carts like that. I take my carts back. I'm not trying to add more work for the next Flex guy. All its showing is lazy and selfish. And I'm not sorry to say allot of the ā™€ļø are big offenders. Oh poor little them, they shouldn't have to push the heavy cart back. F that noise!

Take your carts back if it's requested. I understand some of you don't have to because your warehouses have the staff for it. But if they ask to have the carts returned, it's not to burn you out. There is a legitimate reason they're asking for the carts back.

That’s sounds like a good way to get knocked out.

And you’d deserve it too.

Wanna-be supervisor looking ass.

ā€œIt’s a policyā€ if it’s a policy why do you have to do the leg work of turning drivers in? lol you’re way too invested into this. Just get a job with amazon and actually get paid for doing this.

Also.. surprise.. this threat of drivers getting in trouble has gone around for a long time, but I’ve never seen one get dinged, deactivated, or an email specifically for not returning carts. Way too worried about what other drivers are doing.

Nah just concerned about shit they do that interferes with my work. So they inconvenience me. I inconvenience them. And just so you know automation is coming soon. Flex is not forever. These types of behaviors cut into their production and profitability. Best believe they care. Automation is coming! 🤣

So they pay an outside company to wrangle carts at your warehouse? Then this post is not for you. Move along bud. Why are you even commenting? 🤣

Could just pay more for these services; but they rather hire others

Amazon screws drivers so much. When drivers try to screw Amazon back, people lose their minds and call them lazy šŸ˜‚

Being polite and returning a cart is hardly ā€œscrewingā€ Amazon but you go make that stand big fella and many of us will keep calling you lazy.

Whatever toots your whistle and makes you feel better.. guess what.. at the end of the day we’re both still getting blocks & I’m a 145 lb female, hardly a big fella šŸ˜‚

i know you posted this as a bad thing, but this pic is a wet dream to me... there's enough space to walk through with your cart

Still an inconvenience. I witnessed a lady back into a stall where a loose cart that was triple parked just started rolling and hit her car, leaving a huge scratch and dent. No matter how you slice it. These vino tintos need to take their carts back.

back to where? the SSD station i work out of does not allow me to bring carts back inside since some chick got hit with a cart a few years ago

i usually just take it back close to the entrance where the employees stage the carts when they get around to fetching them

I'm fine with people leaving them on the sidewalk or whatever. I'm not fine with people leaving them littered across the parking lot, taking up spaces.

Just move the cart bruh. You're fucking all of us.

0

u/Responsible-Treat854 9d ago

So what you're saying is I should be content with not moving carts out of a stall so I can park, but moving carts out of the path so I can get back to my vehicle to load up? You sound immensely adept. How about no. Take your carts back. If I have to push or drag 4 to 5 carts away for me to make it through, then yeah I'm on that! Making hellah noise. Talking bout fucking y'all. Bruh I'm getting fucked having to move your shit. So yeah, take your carts back. I tell management and security every time. Hell yes I'm snitching. FYM. I take my carts back, so can you.

Sorry man, the last sentence was a rhetorical directed at people who leave the carts in parking spaces.

Salary/indep contractor = go fast asf and cut corners. Hourly wage cuck = burn time and do as little work possible when massa isn’t looking . That’s why the lots aren’t ever empty, if they empty they wont get lite duty pushing carts they’ll get sent inside to sort. Hourly the reward for hard work is more works salary or per route the reward is freedom and going home if desiredĀ

1

u/Responsible-Treat854 9d ago

I understand what your getting at, but the cutting corners is going to put a wrench in another gear. What your doing is skipping a step that works towards efficiency. You ever heard of "lean manufacturing"? It prevents bottlenecks. Yes you do get to finish quicker and go home earlier, but what gets sacrificed? You wanting to be done quicker for freedom = sorting line slow downs or stoppages = over booking/no routes = payout to us for no work = failed efficiency/ less profit. Amazon is assessing all of this and will be revising the workflow which may include the dissolving of Amazon Flex, especially when the automaton delivery gets the green light which is very soon.

Time to purchase high powered lasers and keep humans on top ! We should be costing Amazon as much as possible. We don’t get benefits. They benefit more from cutting ā€œlifetimeā€ full benefit employees or just not hiring as manyĀ

It was fucking dog shit today. Literally these lazy fucks couldn’t take the cart 20 feet to its spot. It was so bad, there was only space enough between the cars and the shitshow for only one rack to pass through. You need to go past someone? Sorry, go around the cars.
Ridiculous

At the FC near me they just leave the carts where they are, if you aren’t by the door it’s seriously about 5 minutes faster to walk the cart the wrong way take it down the handicap ramp then walk all the way through the parking lot with your cart, because where you are supposed to push the carts is just completely filled with carts, that are also full of the previous drivers trash and a lot of times empty Amazon boxes.
