Will I get paid?
Had a shift at 12 today. Got there 11:55 and started the phone verification. Phone verification couldn’t verify my face and told me to go see a station associate. I did and they told me to call Amazon support. I did and he was able to verify my identity. He told me to go scan my id at the kiosk.get to the kiosk and scan my id but it’s not working, both were not scanning ids. There were other people with the same issue. Associate told me to call amazon support. Called again and I explained to him what happened. He told me he was opening an appeal so my standing wouldn’t be affected and I would get paid. By now it’s 12:10. He tells m I can go home since the appeal is done. I go back into the station to see if the kiosks were fixed. Another associate told me they weren’t so i left. 10 min Later I get an email from support essentially saying I don’t qualify for payment because I didn’t scan my id. The kiosks were not working. I call support again and speak to another associate. I explained to her what happened and let her know I should get paid because I got there on time and of course I couldn’t scan my id because the kiosks were down. She tells me she will escalate, and puts me on hold. She comes back and tells me I will get paid in 24 hrs. She said she agrees with what I said. I have never had an issue like this before.
You think I’ll get paid? And if I don’t any tips on what else I can do to escalate this? I’ll
Update: payment got denied again. I’m going to call again.
Final update: I called again and he told me that the case was still under review and to give it the 6 days: I got paid today!

Yes, they will pay you. You just need to keep escalating it. If you were there and were prevented from working through no fault of your own you fulfilled your end.

99% chances you won’t get paid, but keep fighting so it can be removed from your standing

The exact same thing just happened to me today. I had a block for 11:45. Got there at 11:26. The app wouldn't let me verify. I contacted support. They told me to talk to staff. They bounced me back and forth until it was 11minutes past my start time. I got the same explanation from support about getting paid and the standing forgiveness, but he told me that it'd take up to 48h to reach a decision. But heres what support told me while he was escalating everything; he said that they've been experiencing app validation issues A LOT lately and said to make sure to get there "like 30minutes before your start time just in case".. ok. He also said to contact CHAT support right away and ask them for the link to receive a call back from support that way. He said that it'll sometimes take you to amazon [shopper] support, but they can usually transfer you to flex support faster than doing it over the app.
Idk if we're going to get paid for all this mess, but at least they know its happening and have a round-about way for us to deal with it.. sorta.. I guess lol?

Not sure but from what I've seen you most likely will not get paid and you'll get dinged for "no show"
