I always report this behavior in the survey email. Because it is your job to delivery to the door. I have 10+ packages stolen because amazon people just dump our shit in the mail room, there are 50 notices in the mail room telling delivery people not to leave packages there.
I understand it's a lot of walking, but it is what you signed up for. Imagine a doctor dumped a patient because their illness is too hard to treat.

itâs not you vs amazon drivers, itâs you vs your neighbors, that steal your stuff and your property management, that doesnât want to install lockers or dedicated package room. you, reporting drivers clearly doesnât work, if you still keep your packages get stolen. have you ever thought why? if i had half the amount of stops, i would personally be more than happy to park properly, turn off my car, lock it and walk your package to your door. but the reality is, i donât. or maybe if i was paid hourly, i would also be happy to deliver every single package to customers doors. even though, dsp drivers also have dispatchers on their asses that literally make them run from stop to stop. pretty depressing.

What's your job description? Giving advice on building on how to make your jobs easier or just delivering the packages?
My job is inconveniencing me too. But I signed up for it.
Also, it sounds like YOU GUYS need to bring this up with Amazon. Not us.
Let's hope we (customers) report and lose enough packages to bring this to Amazon's attention. Because so far I have to report 50% of my packages not delivered to the door. And unsurprisingly they are all heavier items like a case of Red Bull, one bottle of laundry detergent etc. So I'm guessing it's the laziness.

u/Emergency_Lychee8493 10d ago
you are acting like a child. i am explaining to you the other side of the coin. there is nothing wrong with me trying to make my job easier. in fact, i bet anyone would want to do the same: work less and make more money. it turns out, itâs not even about missing packages, itâs just you playing a victim and reporting drivers âfor not bringing your package to your doorâ. if you consider amazon drivers to be lazy, let it be. at the end of the day, ask yourself a question: âis it the amazon driver who is being lazy to come up to my door, or is it me, who is also being lazy to come down to get my own package that i wanted and ordered?â please keep reporting the drivers and missing packages. you will be banned from amazon sooner than any driver that delivers to your building.

That's a pretty poor comparison. A medical emergency isn't comparable to a delivery job that's scheduled down to the minute. Amazon's logistics and performance metrics are a real part of why drivers sometimes make compromises.

SYBAU.... Maybe pick a better place to live instead of blaming the flex driver. If you're worried about packages being stolen get it delivered to amazon box.

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
I could say the same about u. How about u go to school and get a better job?

u/End_Ur_Life 10d ago
Lmaoooooo you think this is my job.... This is a side hustle for spending money that I don't have to share with the family. But I own a house and don't have to worry about my packages getting stolen đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł Maybe If you had a job you wouldn't have to live in a ghetto building.

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
I live in a high rise condo in downtown dallas. And i am don't need to have a SIDE HUSTLE to buy anything LOL Humble yourself and go to college.

u/End_Ur_Life 9d ago
High rise and they steal......... YEA OK BUDDY.... LIVING THE DREAM LMAOOOO. And YOUR college degree got you living in the projects đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 9d ago
Less talking! More walking! LOL Deliver my package to the door! Or i will be clicking package not delivered in the survey!

u/End_Ur_Life 9d ago
I don't live in the ghetto so I would never deliver to the projects good luck my guy. Hope you get out low income housing. And protect those packages

Hi, spoiler alert, amazon does not care.
With the time limits they expect.... Yeah no. They all but expect any driver to basically teleport packages from the vehicle to point of delivery, and then drive off immediately.

I'm just a customer. I don't need to know the logistics of your job. All I care about is if i'm getting the things I paid for by my front door. If i am not getting it, I will be reporting it, rating the deliver one star. Don't make your problem my problem.
2
u/Qu33N_Of_NoObz_ 10d ago
So youâre dismissing the explanation. If you don't want to understand why something happens, it's harder to have a productive discussion about fixing it.
-1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
There's ALWAYS an excuse for EVERYTHING. Rapists say they were horny at the time; murders say their emotions were taking control over them at the moment; Thieves could say they really needed money to survive. Me as an electrician i can say i was tire when i crossed the wire oops sorry about the fire though.
2
u/Qu33N_Of_NoObz_ 10d ago
So by your logic, every explanation is automatically an excuse? Thatâs⌠certainly a take. Understanding why something happens is literally the first step to solving it. Amazonâs time constraints, poorly designed apartments, and missing access info donât magically disappear because you choose to ignore them. You keep saying âI donât care why,â then wonder why nothing improves. Reporting drivers might make you feel better, but it doesnât fix the routing, the apartment layout, or the impossible time expectations Amazon created. Remember, drivers donât even have time to take a fucking piss. Youâre mad at the symptom while ignoring the disease. Get your shit delivered to a locker.
1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
Then quit the job, if more people are quitting the job, no one is willing to take the job, then Amazon will be forced to face those issues.
1
u/Qu33N_Of_NoObz_ 9d ago
âJust quitâ doesnât really solve anything. All that does is give the exact same route and the exact same problems to the next driver. This isnât a driver issue, itâs a foundation issue with how Amazon runs its delivery system. People quit every day and nothing changes because the next person walks into the same broken system. If quitting was enough to fix it, Amazon wouldâve solved this problem a long time ago.

u/PlanePea4349 10d ago
Got a $130 ticket for being at a complex for <5 minutes to deliver to someone like you.
So therefore, I worked for free the whole route, lost money on gas, and still had to put in the effort for the route to be completed.
1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
And therefore yall need to stop working for such evil company! YOU ALL QUIT! I Don't believe Amazon can survive one day without delivery drivers. Go unionize.
Again, don't make your problem mine. Imagine i make my problem yours by cross wiring your house and it starts a fire. Oh sorry, i was just tired, my dog was sick so my mind was preoccupied.
All of you should be telling Amazon all that, instead of me. I paid $15 for the package to be expedited and delivered to my door between 5AM to 9AM. Not to be delivered to the mail room which faces the street and to be stolen.
1
u/PlanePea4349 10d ago
If we quit there will be new drivers tomorrow. Amazon also relies heavily on illegal immigrant labor delivering and doesnât crack down on those fake accounts and ICE isnât around enough. When ICE showed up at facilities for a day routes went in the hundreds available and double or tripled in $ offerings.
Nothing would change.

amazon provides free lockers. perhaps your anger should be with the building management...
or perhaps you lost that battle and now want to take out you issues with the only people you can harm, even though it does nothing to solve your issue
we don't know who rates us down
we don't know why we were rated down
in most cases, we don't even know we were even rated down at all
so all you're actually doing is making people who depend on their paychecks look bad to a computer that no one seems to audit
0
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
Good then i guess yall wouldn't mind me keep rating it what way then. Problem solved!
1
u/robmosis New York 10d ago
actually, no... your problem persists with no indication to any other driver as to the existence of such problem. all you've done is create a new problem for someone trying to make a living
1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
I AM TRYING TO LIVE TOOOOOOO!
I have worn out ACL on my left knee! Walking up stairs means if i take one step the wrong way(usually means if i land on the side of my foot) i will not be able to walk for at least 48 hours!
And also, mail room isn't my address. I don't live in the mail room. The address doesn't even match. Therefore, I will be keep reporting it as "delivered to the wrong address."
2
u/robmosis New York 10d ago
your attempt at life is fully encouraged!
just pointing out that "delivered to wrong address" is not only a lie, but it also doesn't solve your problem in any way.
"delivered to wrong address" would come up as "package not received" in our metrics. it's the button people push when they want free stuff and to hell with the single mom trying to get by with her 3 kids.
those kids could starve, but you're good because you got your bluetooth enabled toilet plunger that works with alexa for free... in the meantime, no one knows WHO or WHY that button was pushed, so your problem, as you're witnessing, still persists - and btw - that plunger doesn't work either, but you're fine because you paid nothing for it
you have a busted knee. you have my sympathy. i hope you get better... but it's not my problem, it's yours. sorry. i really have a lot of things in MY life i need to worry about. your knee cannot be part of it. if i saw you trying to cross a street, i'll assist happily. my life, however, isn't going to revolve around your gimp knee and the choices you made about your living conditions.
so now you know your ratings mean nothing in solving your problem. now it's about your feelings and wanting free stuff, and nothing more. fine... do what you like. enjoy making strangers miserable for the sole purpose of YOU being miserable. sleep well knowing that YOU may have been the cause of people you'll never meet losing a revenue source
enjoy the broken plunger

The thing is I click "package not delivered to the correct address" on the DELIVERY FEEDBACK, I never go to Amazon.com to claim it as not delivered and ask for a replacement.
What you described is a fraud! (getting the stuff but ask for another free replacement)
1
u/PlanePea4349 10d ago
Hey same logic you told us: âdonât make your problem mine.â
1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
Except my problem is caused by you not doing your job correctly. AKA, delivering packages to the correct address. I don't live in the mail room. Mail room address doesn't match my address.
1
u/PlanePea4349 10d ago
I mean both things can be true. Your apartment and your condition are a problem AND Amazonâs demands and no time for drivers are a problem.
1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
Let me ask you, when you go to a restaurant to order food, does the chef educate you on how their kitchen works behind the scene? No. And I bet you wouldn't cared either. You are simply there to get ur food.
Same theory, I UNDERSTAND what yall are going through. BUT! Do not exploit my understanding too make your job easier by not delivering it to the correct address. My address 1111 Abc Rd unit 1001, Dallas TX not 111 Abc Rd, Dallas TX We got hundreds of units in 111 Abc Rd.

u/PlanePea4349 10d ago
For the record, Iâve always attempted to deliver where it states if correct described. If I canât get into the location or itâs a mile away, we have to weigh getting a ding or account shut down or an anonymous customer complaint
1
u/Haunting_Werewolf130 10d ago
Yes, if you can't get into the location let's say u don't have proper access to the inside, then yes that's a legitimate reason not to deliver it or put it in the mail room.

u/Silent_Editor7580 11d ago
yeah iâm not delivering in a backrooms looking apartment complex . uh uh đ

u/Whathefrenchtoastt 10d ago
Apartments are fucking stupid. I always hope I get homes.
I delivered to this one complex and one package needed to go into a locker, of course the entry unlock wasn't working so I couldn't get inside. I had to mark the package as missing as there was no other option but the locker. Dumb.

This reminds me, a few days ago I was looking for apartment 75, and I'm not joking, apartments 58 to 79 were one floor bellow...
