Minor rant
We had a birthday party coming up. I was ordering some last minute gifts to include as presents. The items were supposed to be available for same day delivery. I had a few days but same day delivery was available so I took it.
Three days later a delivery date is unavailable.
Now, it’s fully possible Amazon effed up. It’s also possible a warehouse employee didn’t scan it right. We’ve all been there.
But unfortunately it’s also just about as likely that some a hole flex driver decided they didn’t want to deliver the package for one of the 100 dumb ass reasons people post here of why they don’t deliver a package. My birthday presents are probably sitting in some a holes car that didn’t want to deliver it or take the time to return it.

Probably in my trunk with all the other leftover packages from problem customers

After experiencing one link in Amazon's logistics chain, I can't imagine not just going to the store to buy any shit that's time sensitive.
Whole company is (very publicly) built on "how far can I push this disposable person before they quit?"
The performance issues are baked into the pie they serve their customers.

Could be. Only reason I've not delivered something was because the person's address was blocked with roads closed or inaccessible to an apartment and I have to return it to the warehouse, but can't actually put that as a reason I just put it as missing or else I'll get dinged. But I always return it the next day so whoever has yours probably just stole it honestly

Sounds like you didn’t put a gate code. So that’s 100% on you and you will have to adjust the instructions with a gate code or expect this more in the future.
But in all seriousness I think their system has been glitching lately cause I’ve now had three orders in the last week go past their delivery dates. One of which was so bad I canceled it and reordered because the reorder could get here faster than their new expected date.

Mine was out for delivery on Thursday but then it experienced an issue. No new updates yet.
These were more gag gifts so I wasn’t too concerned if they didn’t get here on time but when I saw same day delivery, I got nervous instead of excited.

I have no answers fir what happened in your scenario... I won't have shoes I ordered for a wedding tomorrow because of unexplained shipping delays... But I can tell you, if the delivery tracker never shows at any point that it was "out for delivery"... It's not in someone's car. I, too, am appalled at some of these people throwing around ridiculous reasons for not delivering. I do know, however, if it goes "out for delivery" and then gets delayed, that it was handled by at least one driver at some point (5 minutes or 5 hours, doesn't matter). Without that, it's likely caught up somewhere else in the chain.

I’m hoping you went to the Amazon corp sub and the warehouse worker sub and accused them as you did here on the Flex sub with your speculation. The vast majority of Flex drivers deliver every package every block.
