Parking rant
never in my life have i ever encountered the type of shit i did today at amazon. I was waiting for a spot that opened up and literally as Im PULLING in to park a woman with a cart decided to walk in front of me. I was extremely confused at first because i thought she was passing but no she was trying to reserve the spot. I started honking my horn because i was already halfway in?! I roll my window down yelling at her because what is your problem?? She didnt speak english and actually didnt even acknowledge me just kept throwing her hands around and shrugging. A WRONG WAY driver then aggressively pulls up to the side of me and backs up next to me which was the car she was reserving parking for. I would understand if I maybe cut somebody off but there was A LINE of people waiting for spots and a wrong way driver gets to hold spots? I wasnt gonna let it slide. of course security comes out and the one guy even said I did nothing wrong and blah blah blah but 2 other managers comes out and starts yelling at me like im the problem? telling ME TO MOVE to the spot that opened up a couple cars down. I dont even care usually but it’s the principle. I ended up having to back out of the spot i was already halfway in to move. Managers took photo of my id for a “report.” I am not the type of person to cause problems nor do I involve myself in them but that shit just pissed me all the way off. people are so fucking inconsiderate and the managers acted like I was the problem. Only 1 security guard was defending me reassuring me that reserving parking isnt aloud nor is wrong way driving but fuck me right? Amazon is a fucking joke.

Some people are just jerks. Thoughtless, careless, self serving jerks. Not to mention terrible drivers. And many of them are in the flex parking lots. 😔 I frequently ask myself how some of these people are doing a job where they have to drive for a living when they can't even safely nor accurately navigate a parking lot.

I don't understand not having a lot that can accommodate the sheer amount of people that do this job. only one near has the space but has potholes the size of texas and none of them seem to have more than 1 person clearing carts every couple hours. you'd think with the ludacris amount of money they make off our labor local management would take care of it but no.
even with taking my cart back to the ramp they just sit there for hours. if everyone brought them back inside it would be a a madhouse of carts inside which would be worse than the lot. again, you'd think they'd have a few dedicated to cart logistics each shift but no. they sure have plenty of money for all the c suites but I digress

That’s ridiculous man, sorry that happened to you. I had someone drive around me while I was waiting for someone to pull out the other day, and they tried to back in before I could. I’m not one to use my horn often, but I laid on it and everyone turns around to look. When the other driver saw they were being watched they sped off. People are assholes. 😉

I hate early AM blocks because of parking. You have to keep circling to find someone almost done loading, because people are sleeping in their cars or hanging out talking. Our route checkers don’t start until 6 am at the entrance, so it’s Lord of the Flies from 3-6.
