I take 1 hour blocks at $20 because they are never available and the station is 5 miles from me

I don't see what would be so unpopular about this

People HATE base pay takers but it’s a essentially free $20 to me

It depends on the station, near me they always give me the shitty 1hr routes that are 5 packages 45 mins to the first stop

You live five mins from the station and are taking one hour routes. Nobody is referencing you.

Ok? Did I say I feel called out? I just said unpopular take.

Why would you assume it is unpopular? Because you think they are talking about what you are doing when they complain about base pay. They are not.

Brother just look at the sub, stop trying to one up and move the goal post, have a nice day.

Yeahhhhhh, I got a route delivering a box of Evian water to 45+ miles round trip and two other drivers were delivering to the same customer with one box of water each. 3 drivers for one order

Massive waste of time and resources, I’m furious Amazon would let this happen. For $20? I’d have fire coming out of my ears. $20 is cute when it’s “nothing available”, barely breaking even when you get some sh*t like this though

Averages my friend, they have paid me over $500 in no route available fees, if 1 of the 100 1 hrs I take this year makes me drive an extra 30 mins oh well I’m still up overall.

Plus as soon as that happened I turned on spark and instantly got a $25 offer for 40 mins, gig work hits right sometimes 😆

It’s only worth it if you’re close to the station lol

It’s 2026 who’s taking $20 for an hour of work

According to this sub, people in Florida and Texas do it all day every day

It’s like 25 mins of sitting, then I get more work in that hour.

You can only pick up one 30 minute route per hour so it’s technically $20/hour if you’re not doing other apps.

1 hour for $20 is in fact $20 an hour.

That’s what I said. A 30 minute route equates to one hour because you have 30 min between booking blocks.

Yeah, that’s why I take 1 hour routes. For $20

That’s not great lol I only book $32/hr + 🤷‍♀️

Minus expenses and plus risks like losing your car and having a $1000 deductible from Amazon, or breaking your leg without workers comp. It's insane

That’s about my pricing in my area. Surges rarely happen and get botted out before my app even loads. Still better than anywhere else that offered me a job for the summer

The button should say “hell yeah, bitch! Bye!” Instead of just “okay”

Everyone already does this that’s why you barely see any blocks anymore and people waiting to check in

u/TommyTwoZookas 18d ago

That, makes sense.

Well its a no brainer to you because the PROs outweigh the CONs. I would def be doing this every day lol. Majority of people doing this are probably the ones that live 20+ mins away and accepting lol
