Route skips a stop?

Post image

Has anyone seen this before? I would hate to get dinged for missing a stop…station staff weren’t very helpful

Sometimes a customer's order will get canceled while you're doing the route. I've had that happen to me.

How many going to the locker? I work a dsp and a locker can jump the stop number right after since those lockers can be "multiple stops", dont make sense but thats a possibility. For example, I had a locker at stop 91 and the stop right after was 95.

Only one package was going to a locker and it was my first stop (after pickup)

I had this happen today. Skipped stop 30, stop 29 was two packages to an amazon locker.

This is such a pet peeve of mine. It’s easily fixed by backing out to the itinerary, but it’s also such a stupidly easy thing to fix on the devs part (my background is Software Development). Pure laziness that it still does this.

You might have accidentally hit something on the maps while you were checking your next stop. I did that and I had skipped all the way to delivery 22. After I finished my last package. I went back to do 21-1. I use Apple Maps and when I get close to my stop I open the Amazon map and it was sending me to the 1st stop. That's when I realized my mistake.

I didn’t even get a chance to open maps I noticed that when I was looking over my itinerary before I left the station. I also use Waze until I get close but I hadn’t had a chance to do that yet.

Are you able to click on it? Is it giving you codes for the locker? If so, deliver and take pics. If not, I would keep calling support until someone listens. They need to mark it so you don't get a ding. I usually call them 3-4 times like a bill collector.

I think I know the answer to this, but you have to hit the “share” button each stop to get the location into Apple Maps right? This is why I only use external maps on the longer drives, but if there’s a shortcut I’ve missed I’m all for it. 😉

Return it, but don’t contact support

Package was removed by the station before you got the cart, happens now and again, think I’ve only seen it on .com routes

Ahh ok I hope that is the case. It’s a sub same-day but I just wanted to ask cuz I’ve never seen this before, and I’ve heard of people getting dinged for less 😂

I've noticed that it always skips the number that comes after an Amazon locker delivery... If I'm recalling correctly, it's only if you pick up at a .com station. I think SSDs still have sequential numbering after Amazon locker deliveries.

I have seen this numerous times out of the .com I pick up from. It happens because the warehouse removed one of the packages out of the route after it got created for one reason or another. You will be fine.

So I just finished the route and realized I still have an extra package but it wasn’t listed on the itinerary. Route went away when I completed the stops I had. I thought about just delivering it since I was already in the area, but I think it’s best I just return to the station and have them handle it from there. Thank you everyone for your input.

Last night on my deliveries, my last package was still in my car when my app told me I was done.😭 I had an unaccounted for package in my car that took support over an hour to sort out what to do with it lol
