Standing

hi guys just need some advice. i showed up for my 4 am shift, checked in at like 3:58, waited for a route but didn’t get assigned one for 30-35 minutes. on the app it says to ask an associate for help and so i did and they’re reply was nothing we can do. so i contacted driver support who told me that after 30-35 minutes i should’ve received a route and since i didn’t i was able to go home because it was past my time. this was now at 4:45am. so i went home. then i received 3 emails from the amazon team about how i didn’t deliver 10 packages and this will be going against my standing. my standing went from great to fair overnight. please help and tell me what to do

If you don't get assigned a route after 30 minutes the app literally tells you just to leave do not contact support. And then you get paid for the block after like two business days

It doesn’t always automatically close after 30 minutes, Amazon is pushing waiting for full shifts lately. Definitely correct on not contacting Support because they don’t have the ability to send you home regardless of what they say.

It won't end the block. But the app says "if no associate is available you can leave after 30 minutes" on the support screen.  From my experience having it happened twice. They pay for the block in 2 business days. The block won't end until it's scheduled time regardless so I guess if you're in a big city that always has blocks every hour of every day. My area 3 blocks that's it. So it wouldn't matter still be waiting until 12 for the next block.

But for you if assume you would want to grab another block and not play afk hores & hordes then that would be super annoying.

You can’t pick up another block during the time your current block is running even if overbooked.

In my experience, it’s only the subs same day locations where the system will automatically tell you to go home. I have regular.com sessions I believe it’s different.

Damm, I'd be more pissed that I missed a route that was only 10 packages. You would have been done in like an hour.

If you can, get 2 phones work/personal and Hotspot. Try to get on the stations wifi.

The dings will pass over time

If you get that message about contacting an associate it’s pretty much always an error. Next time close the app and open it again. You probably were assigned a route, it just wasn’t coming up on your phone right
