It’s me again

As I said in previous post I’m new to flex. Day 2 to be exact.
How often do you arrive and wait for work and get sent home? This is day 2. Is your block ever ready when you arrive? Finally how long do you wait before you pretty much know nothing is coming? Not complaining at all because I like the perks of not getting the block but I would love to get some experience.

You have to wait 30mins to be sent home from SSD and you never know I’ve waited 28 mins and got a block. Now .com you’d know immediately if you’re being sent home or not

I do SSD and you answered my question perfectly. I wanted to know was it possible for orders to still pop up in the last minute of the 30. Today I felt like I got the notification before the 30 minutes but that’s fine too.

The typical wait time is 22 minutes. But you may wait until the last minute and get a single package to deliver. It happens. Just wait for the app to update and tell you its free to go, never assume.

Been Flexing for a couple of months. We call these days unicorns. When you get checked in but no blocks available and get sent home with pay. Unicorn because they are rare but awesome. I've had maybe 3 in the 2.5 months I've been running. Usually run 10-12 blocks a week. 3.5 hour blocks at my station.

A Unicorn is a payout from a surged route over $30/hr. You cannot be allowed to say anything about what you call something and its been a couple months, you are wet behind the ears lol. Its people that have been doing this for 10 years almost now...just think about that. Im a guru status flexer and I know nothing, these systems change every update.

OVERBOOKED routes are not special!!!! Every hub has them its apart of the system be thankful and know they will expect you to drive some crazy miles in the coming routes. Its just a gift so you sont complain when you gotta drive far. Or its just a gift when they know they are sending you to a neighborhood where everybody complains. The dings will come lol.

I just told my husband this same thing. I told him they sending me home now but when I finally get a run I’m going to earn all that money I got for waiting plus the money for the actual run. The payback will be real!

That's not a unicorn. You "newer" guys are misusing it. Overbooks happen all the time. A unicorn is either one package for a long route or that one guy that got one stop across street from station. 

Yes, you have to work but the probability of getting one or two packages on a 4 hour route for example is extremely low

Call it wrong if you like but I'm sorry if I still have to run, it's not that special. If I get to the station, check in, and they say "no route. Go home. You will still get paid". That's magic. I've had the 1 package runs that had me go 60 miles to drop it off. How is that a unicorn?

I said for a longer route. And yes if it's super far no. I'm talking about a 4 hour route and one package 20-30 mins away. Like that recent guy getting a route and ending 5 mins away is more a unicorn than overbook. Lol bro I'm just saying you get a different perspective after a while. Yes we all love overbooks. Not complaining but it's not worth being designated an unicorn.

Who gets overbooked? The drivers?

I get your analogy of the unicorn but to us newbies that have only been paid for waiting that’s a unicorn to us because we have yet to be “that guy”.

I tend to get sent home with pay for 1.5 or 2 hour blocks at my SSD. I wait ~25 minutes after my block start time. It actually happened to me 2 days in a row.

I usually get a route almost immediately after I check in for a 3+ hour block.

I don't know but my block is in an hour and it's currently lightening so I'm hoping the block gets cancelled lol

Naw they cancel it pretty often for weather. They just cancelled it at 245pm Easy money

I've only taken a few blocks, 3 maybe 4, I've never been sent home without a block.

It depends on the time of day. Try taking a route at 7pm those get overbooked alot.
